Like Steve Jobs quotes - "Connect the dots looking backward" - as I look back, I see that my life has been a journey of its own, with consistent adventures, trial and errors, inspirations, and significant experiences that eventually prepared me to become more clairvoyant in my approaches. I might have started my life as an average student, but experiences shaped me into someone more steadfast. My academic life, surrounded by great friends and partners, also had a great share in transforming my life as a specialist. With this mindset, I have taken a decision to take up a distinct interest in Industrial Engineering. So here I am, writing this letter to the concerned admission team to consider my application to pursue the desired field under the guidance of your university.

In one way or the other, my creative abilities and innovative mindset comes with the fact that I have watched over thousands of cartoons during my school days. Amongst all, the Flintstones was my favourite. What I loved the most was how the stone age people made cars out of rocks. I knew it was unrealistic, but it gave me a thought that cars are easy to make. Or how about the Jetsons? The future that Elon Musk is trying his best to bring the world, I saw that right in the Jetsons. In fact, I was inspired by Dexter and wanted to work in machines and math like the way he does. It may sound very funny or quite contentious to those who are reading this letter, but the truth remains, that I am a Mechanical Engineer due to the above cartoons. Since I have grown up now, I may not assume things the same way, but I give immense attention to anything that is based on Design, Automation, Numbers, and Process.

During my final year, I did a project cum internship with an objective to design an aerospace hardware (part/component) using CAD and analyzed the manufacturing processes using CAM software by using different tool paths and machining processes to manufacture, for reducing the machining time and to improve productivity. We titled the project as Manufacturing and Realization of Aerospace Hardware. I used Solid Works (CAD Software), Fusion 360 and MasterCAM for (CAM Software) to reach the project to its perfection. The whole project was supervised by my professor - [PROFESSOR_NAME] for the department of Mechanical Engineering. [NAME], [TITLE], [ORGANIZATION] was also the mentor for this project.

As an intern at [COMPANY_NAME], I studied railway locomotive suspension systems to improve the vibrations. It was for 2 months of deep learning experience and later, I joined [COMPANY_NAME], where I joined as a graduate engineer trainee and my work mostly involved improving cycle time, measuring manufacturing productivity using OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and need to update production in SAP production. Working for machines in the industrial sector, I have boiled down my whole scope of interest into Industrial Engineering because I started developing a newfound appreciation for studying the designs, planning and optimization of production and manufacturing processes as well as processes in service industries. However, I am at nascent stage and to reach lucrative heights, I need to gain more knowledge and skills that only a master's program could do. Hence, I pivoted my direction towards a master's program. After careful evaluation, I have chosen [UNIVERSITY_NAME] to fulfill my personal and professional objectives.

At this point, my area of interest in Industrial Engineering and I would love to work at top-notch industries where I could easily get to work closely with the stakeholders of the industry. I am hoping to take a keen interest in networking with likeminded people in working some industry efficient systems and models. This course is a must for me to fulfill my future goals, and I hope to learn major skills that shall help me confront complex industrial problems with scientific, mathematical, and logical rationale. Secondly, your University is the only University that I found to be an ideal destination for my studies after I have carefully evaluated many others in the timeline. I have also reviewed the university and its campus, and I can't wait to be a part of such an erudite community.

In return, I would also like to contribute my best to the university. For instance, I played cricket for state tournaments, represented as a club member for [CLUB_NAME] and [CLUB_NAME]. I even 3D printed Iris Lock Mechanism, which is now patented. I have also learned PLC and have done a project. This means, I shall not stay complacent about my work and hope to demonstrate my enthusiasm even at the university level.
