What has led me to doing the higher education in Masters of Business Administration?

After working for 7 years in a technical field in the most reputed IT firms in India, my objective now is to switch to a nontechnical position in IT firms in my country. As much as I have enjoyed working in technical positions with analytical and creative challenges, I strongly believe with my right attitude and aptitude I can do justice to the non-technical roles I will work for in my future projects.

There is a widening scope of various nontechnical skills such as HR and managerial skills in various firms in my country. I love working with diverse set of people and after much discussions with my friends, family and career specialists, I have come to the conclusion of pursuing Masters Program in the field of Human Resource Management from Canada, as the country hosts some of the best institutions in the world that offer my desired masters program. I have selected [SCHOOL] at [UNIVERSITY] as my choice for pursuing my Master's Degree.

Professional Work Experience

I joined [COMPANY], [CITY] as part of my campus recruitment drive as an Associate Software Engineer immediately after completion of my B. Tech Degree. During my five years in the organization, I worked in multiple projects in various roles across multiple locations in [CITY] and [CITY] and grew both professionally and personally. My clients included [COMPANY], Italy in a Telecommunication Domain and [ORGANIZATION], UK in the Health and Public Services Domain. Initially I started as a junior member in a Siebel Admin team responsible with deployment tasks and providing support to the development team. But I quickly started taking up more responsibilities and started managing administrative tasks related to Siebel Admin. I was part of troubleshooting and resolution of critical incidents and defects within specific timeframe.

During my tenure in [COMPANY] I was awarded with multiple awards and recognitions such as [COMPANY] Stellar Award for Individual performance and the [COMPANY] Excellence Award in CMT.

Post [COMPANY] I worked in [COMPANY] as a Senior Software Administrator for [CLIENT]. Here my task was to manage a Siebel (Customer Relationship Management Tool) Admin Team and complete Siebel Test and Production Deployments and Troubleshoot complex server and environment issues for smooth functioning of the project. I was involved in Automation of routine tasks using UNIX and batch jobs.

After [COMPANY], I worked for [COMPANY] as a Consultant wherein I had to gather requirements from a Client for Siebel Environment Upgrade Project from IP17 to IP20. My task was to lead the entire Upgrade Project starting from Documentation to completion of upgrade and installation of Siebel across all environments (Dev, Test and Production).

My last working company was [COMPANY] wherein I joined as a Senior Siebel Admin and Consultant. I worked in this company for 3 months before the Covid pandemic hit. Due to family urgency related to the pandemic, I had to resign from the company.

I was awarded multiple times during my tenure in my previous companies. I quickly grew from an Associate Engineer to a Consultant for demonstrating my necessary skills of communication such as verbal and technical writing skills, organizational skills, ability to lead, collaborate and work with a diverse team environment. I worked in multiple domains and technologies during my tenure and easily adapted myself to learning and excelling new technologies and working with people of different personalities.

This influenced me to have an experience in practical people management skill. Today I strongly believe that my ability to manage a team is a turning point in my life. The responsibilities handled exposed me to the broad nature of administration and helped me understand the growing scope of people management and human resources.

One of my major reasons is to learn with a diverse set of people. I have strong conviction about the great demand for a legitimately qualified human resource management professional in India in future. India has one of the fastest growing economies in the world and its HR management industry has seen steady growth over the last few decades. Following the completion of my higher studies in Canada, I will return to India to join my family and find the right job opportunity here.
