Statement of Purpose

In this fast-paced economy, many organizations want to make quick and accurate decisions, which will impact their growth prospects and profitability; Business analytics plays a vital role in achieving this goal. Having experience of eight years in the Software Industry, I have observed and realized that an analytical approach is at the center of any decision made by the management. They analyze new business insights, target suitable customer portfolios, and plan marketing strategies. With this belief, I developed an interest in pursuing further education in Business Analytics. The program will help me acquire specific skills in this domain and empower me to gather solutions with a data-driven approach to ensure quick resolution for business problems and encourage effective decision-making.

The general trend in our family is to follow the traditional paths of science, engineering and medicine. But this path was not for me, as the global landscape of businesses was inspiring me. Such a large playfield was a beacon, beckoning me. I love to read about people who have done well in life and built institutions of great eminence, creating structures that stand the test of time with sustainability built into the business models. I deeply admire the entrepreneurial quality of [COMPANY_NAME] and am inspired by their ethical practices and shaping their destiny, moving from a national enterprise to an international conglomerate. I wanted to become a part of such an enterprise and help businesses develop innovative marketing strategies and implement great plans.

The first step in the journey that I had charted out was to complete my Bachelor's in Business Administration (BBA), knowing it was a smart choice for a secure future as it can open the door to many careers. Having satiated my desire to get into this domain, the hunger for an MBA kept growing. I had the ideal platform for progression with a BBA degree and knowledge about the basics and principles of business administration. I was fortunate to get admission to [COLLEGE_NAME] in [CITY], well known for its business administration courses taught by experienced faculty, many with rich industry experience. The lectures and discussion sessions were intellectually stimulating. I thrived in such an enabling academic environment and debated the subject's links to strategic management and entrepreneurship. I had read about [NAME], Founder and CEO of [COMPANY_NAME]. She set up the highly innovative online lingerie store and leveraged her experiences and knowledge from an MBA programme to build a successful enterprise. When I completed the course, I was satisfied with the knowledge I had gained in the classroom, the lively discussions with my classmates and the faculty, and was ready to think about my career goals.

After completing my BBA, to gain practical experience and to apply my newfound skills and knowledge, I undertook five internships during my vacation in a consultancy firm. I significantly increased my knowledge of the complex web of business administration and management. Apart from working on several modules and applications in these years of experience, my horizon has widened further. I could sense the inevitable need for analytics for an organization and visualize the vast learnings and endless opportunities this field can bring in one's career. To enhance my skill set and hone my expertise in this area, I have decided to pursue a Master's in Business Analytics to expand my learnings. I gathered that this University in the USA is offering a Master's program in Business Analytics and is also one of the best institutions for candidates like me who aspire to deep-dive in the analytics domain.

By enrolling in this course at your university, I will cultivate my academic learnings and transform them efficiently into a work environment. The program will enable my tactical skills to improve organizational performance and be a market leader in my domain. Apart from offering interactive sessions with leading industry experts to enhance my skills and connections in this field, the program will also give me global exposure and improve my efficacy on tools and applications used currently as per the market trend.

It has not always been about academics and work. I enjoyed sports at university and played in the Volleyball and Table Tennis Club. As a Student Union Social Head, I had a wonderful time for a year organizing more than ten social events on problems faced by the masses. This experience, in particular, helped me develop my interpersonal and leadership qualities. My citizenship qualities were enriched through social service ideas, and I learned the true meaning of empathy and compassion for the less privileged. I met people from all walks of life, social classes and understood the complex web of life and the importance of giving back to society to create a better world.

In conclusion, I believe I have a unique set of experiences that have taught me many things. My academic journey and other experiences make me an ideal candidate for the next stage – to study an MBA in Business Analytics in your University that has a global reputation and accreditation, and one that will bridge the gaps in my skills and competencies, and set me on the path to greater heights in my career. Modules like Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship and Financial Management, to name a few, will make my learning and knowledge complete. Moreover, studying in the USA will make me experience life in a multicultural society and better understand the critical cultural nuances in international business management. I aspire to work for a multinational in India or home-grown companies like [COMPANY_NAME], [COMPANY_NAME], [COMPANY_NAME], and more, with huge international footprints. I am submitting my candidature for the Business Analytics course.
