STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Coming from a nuclear family from the Southern part of India but growing up in [CITY], I have come across many evolving lifestyles. Ever since childhood, I have seen my parents properly uplifting me and motivating me to make the right decisions for myself. I have always been a curious individual. Right from asking unique questions to my teachers in school to inventing answers to them, I grew up and decided to choose engineering as my under-graduation course.

During my under-graduation, I stepped into Electrical Engineering and pursued my degree through [UNIVERSITY]. The four-year engineering degree reflected me to humungous opportunities that can be considered a massive contribution to my well-being. In my undergraduate degree studies, I participated in various events and activities that helped develop my confidence and interpersonal skills.

After graduating in 2011, I had a short stint with an HR firm from October 2011 to February 2012. However, my short-lived experience here, shaped me to learn better things, and I understood the basics of a workplace. After completing four months here, I secured another job with [COMPANY] in March 2012, a [COMPANY] System House, as an Executive Application and Business Developer. While interviewing for this company, the business development title wasn't part of the arrangement, but after having a formal meeting, they were impressed by my communication and verbal skills. Hence, I was a part of their Marketing team as well. I was awarded the "Best Upcoming Talent-Marketing department" for the year 2012-13. Also, with this company, I gained tremendous experience in the technical field and designed various panels like PLC, SCADA, and MCC, as per the client's requirements.

After working here for 15 months, we had to move to [CITY]. Hence, I secured another job in [CITY] itself with [COMPANY], a Mechanical Manufacturing Company. With [COMPANY], I decided to take up the Business Development role and contribute to my growth in this area. I worked in this company for 2.5 years and resigned in December 2015 as I was getting married and relocating to another city. After getting married, it was a task for me to fit into a joint family completely. Therefore, I put my career on hold to keep up with my household. However, I was in touch with my former company. I often freelanced for them whenever they required assistance with reading GA drawings, shortlisting and interviewing candidates, attending campaigns, and so on. In 2017, we welcomed our first child, and life has been a sweet rollercoaster since then.

After a gap of 6 years, I decided to resume my interests and indulge in an academic world altogether. Upon my thorough research, I came across the Digital Marketing field. I was pretty intrigued by how the world is moving digitally and the need for digital marketers to soar in the near future. The rate at which the Digital Marketing field is booming, attracted me to learn all about it. I firmly decided to pursue a master's in Digital Marketing.

This master's degree in Digital Marketing will ideally help me bridge the gap for my professional absence in the field. Since I was previously in the Business Development sector, this course will help me enhance the experience I already have gained and accentuate it to fit the current economic trend. Moreover, in this booming era of technology, this program is the perfect solution to learn the latest applications and strategies to market globally. Hence, obtaining a master's degree will be imperative for me to get my career back on track.

My initial career goal would be to secure employment with a reputed company to showcase my skills and business studies to the maximum. Maintaining a proper work and family life balance would be on the goal list as well. A few years down the line, I would like to see myself growing gradually with dedication and hard work to become a Brand Manager or a Digital Marketing Operations Manager in a reputed organization. Simultaneously, I aspire to be a role model for my child or any young individual to let them know that with patience and commitment, we can attain any level of achievement we set to conquer.

I visited the UK in 2018 to drop my sister off at her university to pursue her master's degree. It was then that I was attracted to this country with its diverse crowd and polite-natured people. That visit helped me now to finalize the UK as my overseas study destination. As it is well-known that the UK is the preferable land for business studies, I also chose to pursue my education in the UK itself. The renowned and top-quality education provided in the UK will shape me to hold a strong grip on my career goals. I am excited to pursue my master's here and blend in with the diverse student crowd. The networking opportunities in the UK are tremendous, and therefore, I am attracted to restart my academic career from here.

The reason behind choosing [UNIVERSITY] is because it has an excellent curriculum to offer. I am quite impressed with the trending Marketing subjects that this university provides. Hence, I am excited to work under the experts and learn their strategies for the digital business world.
