STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

My father was a businessman. So, he used to travel to a lot of countries for business meetings. Whenever he would return back, he would bring me the currencies of that particular nation. Such currency collection interest fascinated me into learning more about money. Later my interest dwelled in the area of finance and commerce. Playing with currencies inspired me to play with the numbers, and I started to love it. This later became an ambition to succeed in the finance field.

After opting for a Computer Science major in my higher secondary school, grades XI and XII, I realized that this field is not my area of interest. It was only because of my father's wish that I opted for science. Later on, I convinced my father somehow that I wished to pursue Commerce, to which he agreed. I then took up my undergraduate admission in [UNIVERSITY_NAME] in the field of Commerce.

I decided to study in-depth Finance as I was always interested in learning finance management. In the second year of my graduation, I realized that internships play a major role in a person's life as it kickstarts the work experience and helps shape a person for the better. So, to improve my skills, I joined [COMPANY_NAME] as a Finance Intern on September 1, and I am currently interning there. My skills here have been shaped quite a lot as I learned a lot about finances. My role in this internship is to learn the basics of finance and do a minor project alone and a major project with the team. As I am still in my under-graduation degree, I am yet to explore the finance world in-depth. However, my overall experience till date has assured me that I am fit for the finance world and that I do not wish to take up any other stream. My favorite subjects are Accounts and Finance as in these subjects, and I get to play with numbers which interest me.

In the present scenario, it is very important to upskill oneself. Ensuring a promising career and staying updated is what the current academic and professional world demands. Thus, to improve my knowledge in the world of Finance, I pursued several courses. To improve my analytical skills, I took up a Google Data Analytics course which is still going on and is expected to be completed by December 2021. Apart from this, I have also completed a TCS Young Professional course in February 2021 to hone my accounting knowledge and workplace behavioral skills. I aspire to take up more knowledge in my concerned field and gain better experience through internships and courses until I conclude my under-graduation studies.

My plans after the completion of my bachelor's degree are clear and set. I wish to pursue an MBA degree in Banking and Finance specifically. The reason behind my choice is that, as we know, Finance is the pillar of the world and based on the financial aspects, the world's economy is decided. A strong foundation in the Banking and Finance sector is required and helps learn about the stock market, IPO, International Banking, and several other areas. This enormously growing field is sure to take over the world in the coming years, and hence, I see a future for myself in this area.

After completing my MBA degree, I aim to work under experts in the field of Finance and learn their strategies and tactics on how to handle this section of the world effectively. I aim to gain a stronghold in the banking and finance areas as eventually, my main aim is to work with a reputed bank of the world and become a successful Investment Banker. I see myself as an investment banker right from the day I started to enjoy banking and financial studies, and I am certain to work very hard to reach that level. I plan to gain subsequent academic knowledge before I start with the professional work life, and thus, I am choosing to pursue my MBA right after my under-graduation studies are over.

It is no doubt that studying in the United Kingdom is rewarding. However, my reason for choosing the UK as my area of further studies is the exceptionally well MBA plans that this country offers. Also, the UK is the best financial hub in the world pulled me closer to study here. I always wanted to enjoy an English lifestyle, which I am sure the UK will provide me with. In the multi-cultural, student-centric land that the UK is, I am confident that I can experience humungous opportunities here.

My aim behind choosing to pursue MBA at [UNIVERSITY_NAME] is the fact that I can certainly gain a globally accredited program required to fulfill my dreams and aspirations here. I see this MBA banking and finance program as the driving force for my career goals. Moreover, the student intake rate at this university from every part of the world excites me. I aim to indulge with various cultures and traditions and learn more every day about them. The rich infrastructure and classroom environment intrigued me as it will help me have a better hold on my professional experience. I aim to learn from the expert faculty members of the university, and if given a chance, I would be glad to assist them in their research programs or work under them through the means of an internship.

Apart from being a Finance and Banking fanatic, I also am a huge lover of cars. I love to know more about the new upgraded versions and models, and I keep a keen eye on the new launches. Also, I am a football enthusiast and love to watch and play the game. Every morning, I make it a point to play football and keep myself fit, as physical fitness is something I am very sincere about. So, if given a chance, I would love to get involved in the university's soccer group and enhance and keep up with my daily routine.

I love exploring new things, and I believe this MBA degree at your university will give me the exposure I aim to pursue. I am also certain that an MBA degree will mark a new beginning for me as it will help me get closer to achieving my goals. Pursuing this degree will also teach me leadership and management qualities, which I am keen on learning.
