Born and brought up in [CITY], I completed my schooling from [SCHOOL_BOARD] board and moved on for BBA degree in Marketing Management from [UNIVERSITY_A]. I have recently completed a bachelor's degree in marketing management and am planning to study a master's degree in ---------. My strong desire to give back to my community coupled with my experience in the tourism sector has inspired within me the desire to set up a tourism company specific to the local culture in the state of Jharkhand. The strong growth curve of the state, amplified with the presence of [COMPANY_B] and rich cultural heritage, is still marred with low exposure. With 85 percent of the state still in villages and dependent on agriculture, I wish to use the knowledge to bring innovation to the tourism sector. In order to achieve this long-term aspiration, I now need to further enhance my understanding of the functional aspects of tourism management, and an MBA is the crucial next step towards my goals.
I come from a rather humble background and had long learned that there are no shortcuts to success. Hard-work, dedication, and determination were my best friends and I constantly worked to achieve the best in my academics. I was awarded 10 CGPA (95%) in [SCHOOL_BOARD] Class 10. Maintaining the momentum I excelled in my graduate studies, I moved on to pursue higher studies in Civil Engineering, only to realize later that my career aspirations did not match with the course I was undertaking. I proactively looked for alternatives that not only rewarded me academically but were also fulfilling. I came across an opportunity in [UNIVERSITY_A] (one of the top 20 universities in India) to learn Marketing which later helped me explore various career opportunities across the Tourism sector. Working across various sectors (Tourism and EdTech) during my internship, I soon started to improve on my analytical skills and was able to comprehensively improve my decision-making abilities. The opportunity to work in tourism and marketing aspects of business added to my learning curve. Determined to make the most of it, I found myself extending my own boundaries and was able to do that. Inspired, I was constantly appreciated in my office and often awarded for my out of the box thinking.
Deciding on an MBA, I am convinced that ----'s unique position as an international MBA is perfect for my short and long term goals. Alongside my undergrad studies, I actively participated in extracurricular activities. I was involved in an NGO group "[NGO_NAME]" with simple vision to help the unprivileged community with basic needs of food, clothing and books for students by collecting the extra commodities from privileged sections of society. This position involved me in managing all the groups and organizing events to showcase the need to help the society, which was the ultimate test of my managerial and organizational abilities in which I managed to do well. All of this made me realize my fixation for learning new skills and an aptitude for management. Apart from all the involvement, I always made it a point to maintain a decent CGPA throughout as well as engaging in activities that fulfill my duties as a responsible citizen and actively participated in government recognized NGOs which focused on the day to day problem and making people aware of it.
