Statement of Purpose
"Good management is the art of making problems so interesting and their solutions so constructive that everyone wants to get to work and deal with them." This quote by Paul Hawken serves as an inspiration for me to learn and master the art and science of management. I come from a business family and have been witness to the implications of good management to successfully advance the business and achieve goals. My father runs a proprietorship based financial consultancy and is the Managing Director of a not-for-profit school. My mother is the Principal of the aforementioned school and is engaged in its day-to-day management. My father gets a good remuneration through his financial consultancy, and through the school my parents help children, who come from poor families, obtain quality education. Their commendable balanced for-profit and social work equation is worthy of emulation and serves as a major source of my inspiration.
I am proud to say that my academic journey till now has been harmonious and noteworthy. I have consistently performed at the top of my class in every grade. I scored a perfect 10 CGPA in my 10th grade and received a merit certificate from [BOARD_NAME] board for my performance. I chose to study English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Informatics Practices in 12th grade. Informatics Practices helped me realise my talent and interest in Computer Applications. I proved my proclivity for this subject when I scored 100/100 in 12th Board. I also showcased my assiduity when I achieved an overall 96.6% in all subjects in my 12th-grade final exam. I scored 98.0542 percentile in Qualitative Reasoning and 93.8362 percentile in language conventions at the All India Level.
My performance led me to take the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) for admission in engineering colleges in India. It requires courage and fortitude to attempt it, as one is pitting one's knowledge with almost 1.5 million aspirants. It consists of two major exams—JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. I got the 1760th rank in Paper-1 and the 524th rank in Paper-2 of JEE Mains. I also cleared the JEE Advanced Exam, the entrance exam used for admission into the prestigious IITs.
As the world is moving towards complete dependence on computers, and luckily, as I have a knack for understanding the simplicity in seemingly complex computer languages and algorithms, I chose to study Computer Engineering at [UNIVERSITY_NAME]. During college, I attended [BUSINESS_SCHOOL_NAME]'s summer program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. It was a hands-on entrepreneurial boot camp which got me excited for an entrepreneurial journey. For my final year major project, I led a team of three members and developed an AI Based Financial Portfolio Management and Restructuring tool. The program uses technical and fundamental indicators to restructure the portfolio periodically to maximise the returns. The resultant portfolio beats the benchmark in both upwards and downwards markets according to our test results. After 4 years of intense studying, I completed my Bachelor's of Technology in Computer Engineering with a CGPA of 7.36 on a scale of 10.
After I graduated, I moved back to my hometown, acquired the required certifications and licenses, and using what I had learnt in college especially from my final year project, I started a proprietorship based financial advisory firm. I gradually acquired more and more arrows in my quiver. I became an [CERTIFICATION_BODY] certified Mutual Funds distributor and an [CERTIFICATION_BODY] certified and registered Life and General Insurance Agent.
