Statement of Purpose

Hailing from a family of entrepreneurs, I was more skewed towards the world of business. Trade talks, clients' issues, pending orders, and payments were the prime discussions of my father and uncles at the dinner table. More than the food on my platter, it was their conversations that satiated me. To take my commercial interest beyond the supper, I started visiting our factory during the weekends and holidays. I asked my dad to assign me some work. My zeal and approach towards the given assignment were a testament that my business proclivity was not just the curiosity of a teenager. The decision was right as it taught me to survive and thrive away from the bubble of my home and nurtured me with the requisite virtues. Coming back to the significance of education, an entrepreneur of contemporary times cannot accomplish its visions and goals without a full-time internationally recognized MBA. With a crystal clear goal of stepping into my father's shoes, I chose the commerce stream for my intermediate studies and followed with a Bachelor of Management Studies. Since my interest was in marketing, I chose the same as my undergraduate specialization. It elaborated on various marketing elements through interactive lectures, presentations, case studies, a project, and an internship.

My project entailed research on Laughter Therapy Marketing. It was a survey to find out the causes of people's sadness and how laughter therapy can alleviate their unhappiness.
