Engineering in a systematic way to generate results from theoretical and factual data. That's always been my motto.

I have always loved to develop solutions to solve problems and make existing products more efficient. This was the reason I choose to become an engineer. Seeing the things you build and program come together and work just as you envisioned gives satisfaction which seeps deep. This is the feeling I crave, to solve problems.

In the first year of my engineering, I was introduced to the world of robotics. My friends from other colleges told me about ABU Robocon a robotics competition in which they were competing. I was excited and wanted to build my robots which would compete there. Unfortunately, my college did not have a robotics club, but that did not stop me. I decided to start my own robotics club. With the help of my faculty advisor, I set up the robotics club with 5 members. We started out participating in a local bot fighting competition where I learned how others built their robots. Engaging with the local robotics community helped me develop better robots. We then recruited more members and are now 25 strong. I led the robotics team in the ABU Robocon. My role in the team was to develop circuits and PCBs for the robots and also program sensors apart from management and coordination with the faculty. We achieved 89% in the technical round. The competition was then canceled due to the pandemic.

During the summer break of my second year, I was working as a Hardware Engineering Intern at the R&D facility of [COMPANY_NAME]. This is where I developed my interest in research. I learned how systematic research was done in the industry and what are the challenges that are faced by engineers on a daily basis. My job was to design a PCB based junction box for a vehicle so as to reduce the size taken up by the junction box to make room for the new engine. I used power MOSFETs as switches to replacing relays and fuses and hence reducing the space required. Documenting all my work on day to day basis taught me how greatly documentations affect us and how important they are. Working with industrial resources and industry experts made an intense impact on the way I design and develop products. Along with this, I was also the co-editor and part of the board of directors at the [CLUB_NAME] of [INSTITUTION_NAME] for the year 2018-19 where I was a part of the organization committee for several college-level community outreach programs, college festivals, and social drives for various causes like road safety, women empowerment and blood donation drives.

During the pandemic, I started researching what technical skills a robotics engineer needs. This is where I was introduced to the Robot Operating System and Artificial Intelligence. Online courses on [PLATFORM_NAME] and [PLATFORM_NAME] were a big part of my learning during this time. For my final year project, I tried to implement these skills where my main contributions were towards developing the control system (cascaded PID), electronic hardware, and algorithms (control and convolution neural network). While working on swarm intelligence for UAVs I Published a research paper titled [PAPER_TITLE] which explained the Control System for the Autonomous UAVs along with the CNN we trained for detecting human beings. The project's main focus was search and rescue during disasters.

Currently, I am working as an Executive Robotics Engineer at [COMPANY_NAME]. Where I am tasked with improving the electronic design of the existing Automated Guided Vehicles and Autonomous Mobile Robots. Along with this I am developing algorithms for the detection of AprilTags and using Pose Estimation to improve the accuracy of the Autonomous Mobile Robots. In the future, I plan to be part of a prestigious university or an organization where I can do research on robotics which will impact the world as we know it. After which I plan to start my own business in the field of robotics to produce robots that can be affordable and that become a part of people day to day life.

I want to contribute in fields like Control Systems, Autonomous Navigation, Computer Vision, Swarm Intelligence, Soft Robotics, Medical Robotics, and other fields by developing, optimizing, and improving current models and algorithms. For this, I would need to be technically strong and research oriented. A rigorous course and an institute that is dead set on research and innovation and has great professors who can guide and inspire. Your college's course in Robotics/ECE would help me achieve these goals. The work done by [PROFESSOR_NAME], [PROFESSOR_NAME], and [PROFESSOR_NAME] in [RESEARCH_AREA] are inspiring and I would love to have an opportunity to work with them.
