Statement of Purpose

Since ancient times, humankind has tried to make lives easier by implementing and innovating science, arts, and business. These endeavors have created a hub of opportunities in recent times. The 21st century is reigned by globalization and modernization, thereby birthing endless opportunities in various fields. One of these fields that grasped my interest was Project Management. The world functions on digitization, globalization of products and services; thus, the demand for individuals in this field is increasing. Moreover, the demand for skilled project managers is in an upsurge movement, with new project management jobs in multiple industries and sectors needing to be filled worldwide every year. Thus, I decided to study MSc Management with Project Management program offered by the desired University. This MSc program will help me to enhance myself in the practical aspects of business areas. This degree will give me an opportunity to gain more knowledge about business management practical and technical competencies in the real world.

My reasons to pursue this program have been backed by numerous experiences that have helped me explore my potential and have brought out the best in me. I pursued my Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from [UNIVERSITY]. The course benefited me immensely and provided a conceptual understanding of the subject. Now, I have decided to do my post-graduate degree that is related to the business and management sector because I believe that along with my current qualification and experience and this MSc Project Management course will help me to achieve my career goal. My desired career goal is to become a successful manager in a renowned company and master's in Project Management course will help me to enter the currently growing competitive job market in India. This program also includes internship skills; it will give me a better chance to learn professional work experience. The internship module will be developing my soft-skill and transferable skills and it is including self-management, team working, problem-solving, communication skills, cultural awareness, presentational skills, personal development planning, customer awareness, work experience placement support, and applying theory into practice.

I have been working as an O&M Engineer at [COMPANY]. I ensured all systems, applications, and infrastructure availability and provided technical support for our users' hardware and software issues. My job also included managing client-based computer operating systems; creating and verifying backups of data regularly. I also had to configure and maintain the Avaya EPABX system on dial 100, monitor Avaya manager and system status, install a CCTV surveillance system, maintain network management services, and handle IVR & responsible for storage management like Netapp Quantum. I then worked as a support engineer at [COMPANY]. I was required to manage the IT group's day-to-day operation, including downtime, reporting services levels, defining, and providing management status. I worked as a Java Trainer at [COMPANY] and Network Engineer at [COMPANY].

Over the past years, I developed an interest in a wide range of applicable IT skills, project management with SLA creating IT infrastructure, including problem-solving, organizational skills, networking skills, excellent communication skills, delegating and allocating tasks, and team working. I have years of experience in IT infrastructure & project management, from initial idea to completion, in the private sector with international IT credentials like PRINCE2, CCNP, and ITIL. The background has led me to appreciate the intricacies involved in this field.

Pursuing a master's degree in Project Management will provide specialized knowledge and an intense understanding of the field. It will make me adept in the fundamentals of the latest strategic alignment, leadership, clear focus & objectives, realistic project planning, quality control, risk management, and legal operations of a project. The course accompanied by the internship will help me gain empirical functional insight into the topic. In addition to this, MSc in Project Management Program involves Operations Management and Service Excellence, Financial Decision Making, Leading Business Organizations, Knowledge Management and Information Systems, Business Research Plan modules. This program states the current business management issues in the business strategy concept. Studying Project Management course will prove to be fruitful as it will boost my learning business tools which I can apply in my career and gain all-around expertise in the business management area. I can build my interpersonal skill so that I can be able to interact effectively with a range of specialists and implement agreed solutions effectively and efficiently.

Achieving my academic success in this country will help me pursue my career in Canada and satisfy my needs as a working-class man after being done with my academics. Qualification obtained from Canada is valued globally and most especially in my country.

The Project Management course is not presented in an advanced form yet in India. Studying in foreign universities provides facts and an overall picture of how things work across most of the universities here. On the contrary, in Canada, the Master's programs emphasize the much-needed experiential learning where students get to do their mandatory practical assignments as a part of their courses. Hence, I decided not to do my master's in India. Pursuing the course at prestigious universities will be an ideal step in my academic career and strengthen my prospects. It will provide a more progressive and global outlook of the courses. My recent work experience and the professional network that I have gained during these years have helped me to understand this.

I am very interested in the Master's Program in Canada from a renowned University. The avant-garde and comprehensive program will enrich my existing knowledge and help me learn. I have learned to accept criticism and praise with a positive frame of mind. My work involved organizing various events that allowed me to work and interact with several individuals. The experience was distinctively gratifying.
