While my love for numbers, i.e. Mathematics and Statistics, led me to pursue Science during my Standard XI and XII, I could not connect to the subjects like Physics and Chemistry which was the crux of the stream. This resulted in my poor marks and I was totally lost.

I wondered about my next move. It was then that I came in contact with a Lecturer who was also my neighbor and I took a break to understand my niche. In this one-year gap, I pursued tuition in Accountancy and Finance and realized my acumen in business. My interest increased exponentially as I harnessed my interest in the field. Since I have been popular in teams and have enjoyed connecting with people, I chose to pursue Business Administration (B.B.A) as my graduate degree with a specialization in Finance and continued my further studies by pursuing Post Graduation Diploma in Management (P.G.D.M) in the specialization of Finance and Marketing.

During this time, I also worked on the project 'Evaluating the Quality of Returns for Select Mutual Funds' so that the project deals with 'Comparison of Risk-Adjusted returns for select mutual funds'. It also dealt with the understanding of the relationship between risk-adjusted returns and growth in AUM. My knowledge developed more as I interned as Market Research & Sales Intern in [COMPANY_NAME]. During this time, I learned how different other sectors like tele-calling and client meetings are conducted. Having conducted IAP (Investor Awareness Program) sessions in various tech parks in [CITY_NAME], I also understood the intricating facts of business and looked forward to more knowledge in the field.

As the Associate Content Analyst, [COMPANY_NAME], I have achieved the highest productivity with zero errors in the month of May 2020. I identified 148 plus errors in the data and reported back to the vendor to correct them. While working on project of MTN Bond addition at [COMPANY_NAME] I realized that it deals with the identification of terms and conditions of medium-term notes and added the details to the database.

My current job as a Content Analyst is to maintain data accuracy. It is my responsibility to verify client queries and analyse the root for data inaccuracy on customer product and thereafter rectify future cases. This has paved the way for the development of interest towards learning how far we can use data to optimize business performance.

As a part of my current job, I had to learn SQL online and also currently learning Python Programming which further introduced the current growth of data and business analysis, and how it can be implemented in business. My current job requires learning SQL to learn about databases and how to extract the data from databases.

I have recently been promoted to a different team as a Content Analyst where the process of work is totally different from the previous team. In the initial days, it was quite challenging in coping up with the new work but eventually, I got adjusted and learned a lot. It was fun analyzing raw financial data of the US municipal bond market, interest, coupon rates and coupon type, minimum denomination and increment, use of proceeds or issue yield and price or even coupon dates and thereafter making it available to our clients. Having optimized the business performance, work experience, I predominately dealt with data and financial data accuracy. This has given me an interest in how far and best we can use the data to optimize business performance. Analyzing raw data as part of my job and adding technical skills to arrive at better conclusions is what made me to chose this course.

I have also researched Consumer Behavior towards mutual funds, where the study is to collect the data about what is the basic understanding of mutual funds among the consumers. The data collected has been processed to arrive at conclusions about consumer behavior. As a result, I was quite motivated to study in this stream that would educate me about the length and breadth of the field. I feel that after gaining two years of work experience in the field of data, this is the correct time to proceed with my master's in Data Analytics so that it can enhance my skills and land me in a better position.

Besides, the world of data is huge and the demand is also at the next level. So, in the short term goal, it will help me learn various tools, techniques and processes in the field of analytics. My long-term goal is to pursue a successful career as a Data Analyst or Research Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst or Consultant.

I find your country would be the best place where I would be able to get a quality education as well as the pragmatic skills required for the field. I also would like to get introduced to the international way of dealing and communication that cannot happen in my home country.
