STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Sitting in my office, a place where I have rediscovered my passion, I ponder what businesses need in today's environment to sustain themselves. I have observed the vibrant link between management expertise, business objectives, and technology at my workplace and I realize that I can work effectively and provide insightful information to make accurate business decisions. Aiming at a balance of computer knowledge, communication, and trade expertise, along with a logical understanding of functions and processes, is what makes any business prolific. A skilled and witty business analyst seizes opportunities introduced by the ever-changing marketplace. Being a fanatic for business analytics study, such insights sparked my curiosity to dig deeper into the field. Thus, leading me to my application for a Master's Degree in my field of dreams, Business Analytics.

My inquisitive nature has always driven me towards figuring out how things fit together. I have believed in presenting myself with strong points and logic. During the undergraduate study of Civil Engineering, I worked on a range of projects and found myself more engaged in projects and practical learning rather than only focusing on theoretical concepts. I have done a major project in the final semester which was titled, "Design and Analysis of Road under Bridge at [LOCATION]" and an internship in [COMPANY] after completing my 4th semester where I worked in the [STATE] State government project to build 2-bedroom flats for the poor people. Being involved in two big state government projects, I learned various financial strategies and project planning skills required for the completion of the project. With this interest in the data-driven functioning of an organization, I have done a course called Project Planning and Control on [PLATFORM] which was conducted by [UNIVERSITY] and for this, I was certified with a gold medal. During my college years, I also chose Computer Science elective courses, which helped me learn the fundamentals of C, C++, Web Designing (HTML, CSS), and Data Structures to enhance my skills in this field. My synergetic interests in data, mathematics, and business made me link my theoretical knowledge and domain expertise to real-life business situations.

I deemed it essential to gain work experience in Business Analytics before going for higher studies. To gain practical insights into what I was learning during college, I was selected as an intern in [COMPANY]. During the internship, I took up various Catastrophe model projects in the company. I was accountable for developing and providing insights on potential exposures by augmenting, validating, and improving massive data primarily using SQL, R, and a tool called Touchstone. The use of high-quality exposure data, including any details about the asset, its replacement cost, and physical characteristics, such as its geography, has a substantial impact on the loss results produced by a catastrophe model. I have also involved myself in learning management aspects like strategic workforce planning, goal cascading, performance management, and experience delivery. I analyzed data by using automation technologies to provide risk modeling solutions. I work in line with the various teams through my stint there. I also learned various aspects of business ecosystems, working here. The most significant highlight of this internship was that I was promoted to a permanent position, and my performance impressed the senior management in the company. Working in this position, I covered various milestones in my career. I take pleasure in my work as it pushes me to use my reasoning, analytical, and logical skills while considering the latest technologies at hand.

In order to steepen my learning curve and improve my skills, I invested my time after work hours in multiple online courses. I did certification on AWS Cloud Practitioner and courses on [PLATFORM] namely Machine Learning Algorithms in Python and R, Complete Data Science Training. Further, I have a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification.

I have believed in the holistic development of personality, and have emphasized extracurricular activities right from childhood. I was a key player in organizing events and getting sponsors for the college festival which has helped me take initiatives and decisions by having a 360-degree view on things.
