STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Over the past decades, architecture and design have been the sole domain that has been dictating how people should live, work, play and learn from it. But as the world is evolving at a very fast pace, it has become the need of the hour for new-age designers to be equipped with a more diverse skill set. Particularly in the designing and architecture industry, management plays a huge role in promoting growth, smooth functioning and execution along with cutting the overall budget of projects. I have always learnt to respond to a situation when it presents itself rather than forcing it.

From an early age, I have discovered my innate inclinations towards creativity, problem-solving and multitasking skills which together lead to management. Following my early interests in designing and crafting things led me to a whole new world of design. And my exuberant mind followed my artistic blend of skills to opt for professional training in Architecture studies from the prestigious [UNIVERSITY], [CITY]. From there on, my journey to self-discipline and diligence began. From childhood, I took up even the smallest insignificant tasks with sincerity during my formative years, which helped me work with the same amount of dedication in every work in the future. Throughout my college, I met some of the brightest minds who believed that if you have zeal in your soul, you can do anything in life. So to diversify my arsenal of skills and upgrade my management skills to blend with my design knowledge, I want to pursue a Masters in Project Management. Along with providing a significant boost to my career, it will equip me with a better understanding of managing diverse groups, time constraints and successful execution of projects effectively.

After passing my senior secondary with first division in 2015, I straightaway enrolled myself into [UNIVERSITY] to study Bachelors in Architecture. There I cemented my fundamentals of design, engineering along with a good understanding of ergonomics and an apt sense of colour pallets. To gather as much knowledge in this niche, I did a certification course in Real Product Management by [COMPANY], Designing Cities by [COMPANY] and a diploma in Interior Designing by [COMPANY]. I have also received a licence registration as an Architect from [ORGANIZATION].

Along with nourishing my architectural skills, I discovered another discipline where I had the potential to shine in future. I was actively involved in management-led activities. I found myself working in coordinator, head coordinator and cultural head roles for our annual college festivals. I also became a part of an NGO that worked to provide educational aids to underprivileged people around the city and coordinated various departments and organised numerous cultural events within the college and outside its boundaries too.

During my graduation, I landed an internship as an Architect intern in [COMPANY], where I learned about the heritage and followed it by working for [COMPANY] as a graphic designer. I possess good technical skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, V-ray, Lumion and Revit. I have also worked as an Interior Designer at [COMPANY] where I led a small team to work in the interior layout of a building and 3D modeling. During the course, I undertook a project under [PROGRAM] and helped in renovating schools. It taught me the importance of cleanliness and hygiene for government school kids. Then I got an opportunity to work as an HR executive in [COMPANY] where we hired talented youngsters across the nation. Currently, I have been working as a Designer in [COMPANY] along with providing my assistance in heading the Interior Designing at [COMPANY] on a freelance basis.

During my thesis project on the Paralympic Sports Complex, I understood the psyche and passion of paralympic athletes. Their will to follow their goals in life fills me with immense inspiration to follow my heart. And now, the most crucial goal of my life is to become a successful management professional with an immaculate understanding of architecture which together will be used to execute great projects.

To expand my horizon of knowledge, I have decided to pursue a Masters in Project Management from this prestigious university. Your deep, advanced and practical approach to learning will further equip me with a more expanded and holistic view of my career. It will surely provide me with a deeper understanding of the subject and actualize passion into productivity. Studying in the UK will provide me with greater responsibilities for my personal growth and expose me to a rich cultural diversity. After completing my Master from this institution, I see myself equipped in managing diverse departments, HR, making adjustments under time constraints, budgeting and marketing the business. I see myself leading a team of talented professionals to use my acquired knowledge of design and management for the world around us. And in turn, enhancing safety, economic vitality, and wholesome sustainable growth.
