The study of nature, its composition and our interaction with it are central to our relationship with nature. Nature includes living organisms of all types and complexities. Its working is still mysterious at large and I believe that our understanding of it is still in its initial stage. My enthusiasm for studying the various aspects of nature and the desire to serve humanity through great breakthroughs in medical, pharmaceutical and biotechnological research is a result of my desire to serve humanity. Thus, right after completing my school education, I made up my mind to work in the medical field. Medical studies in India are very costly, so I choose to take the backdoor path into the field as a Researcher or Research Scientist. At this stage in my academic career, I have arrived at the conclusion that my knowledge and expertise in Biotechnology can be well augmented by an additional degree course in Pharmacology or Pharmaceutical Sciences. To achieve this, I have decided to apply to the Master's program in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical sciences at your esteemed university.

I finished schooling at [SCHOOL_NAME] in 2017 and took admission in the B.Sc. Biotechnology program at [COLLEGE_NAME] the same year. Biotechnology combines various subjects and aspects of life such as biology, medicine, technology and bionics. The fast pace of developments in this sector makes it exciting and professionally lucrative. The course allowed me to study basic courses in Microbiology, Genetic Engineering, Immunology, Biochemistry, DNA technologies, Medical and Industrial Biotechnology. This along with a range of practical projects, lab sessions, presentations and researches has allowed me to form a comprehensive understanding of various inter-related subjects. I picked up useful research skills and the course helped me expand the scope of my professional domain significantly.

The under-graduation experience was filled with personal development and academic achievements for me. I was awarded the Best Outgoing Student - 2020 and Proficiency Award on graduating with a high score. My research skills during this program flourished under experienced professors and guides. I was lucky to be accepted for a one-month internship at the [RESEARCH_CENTER_NAME] at [UNIVERSITY_NAME]. This experience allowed me to get acquainted with advanced-level research standards, protocols and technologies. My work there revolved around Animal Biotechnology, as I assisted senior researchers in Animal Tissue Engineering Techniques and conducted studies on cultures of human lymphocytes.

Right after graduating, I decided to waste no time and opted to enroll in the M.Sc. Biotechnology program at [UNIVERSITY_NAME]. The advanced course allows me to study the graduation subjects in greater detail while conducting advanced researches into the field. However, at this point in time, I have decided to pursue another Master's course as I wish to combine the knowledge of advanced biotechnological subjects like immunology, genetic engineering, and Nano-biotechnology with pharmacological and pharmaceutical research. This will help me target specific health issues and assist my research into medical sciences.

My studies in medical science, pharmacology and biotechnology have given me a unique perspective. As a researcher in the field, I have also shared my ideas and knowledge with others through competitions and seminars. I was awarded the Best Oral Presentation award at the [EVENT_NAME] 2019 event, where I gave a well-researched presentation on the role of biotechnology in space. I also presented an oral presentation on the effects of salinity on micro-organisms and the effects of heavy metal pollution on them. My other co-curricular participation includes International and National Conferences (Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, and Genetics). Recently, I have stumbled upon another major area of interest i.e. oncology. I believe that the course will greatly enhance my knowledge in the field thereby enabling me to take researches cutting across various disciplines of study i.e., Biotechnology, Drug Development and Medical Research. Apart from the academic benefits, I would also be able to gain advanced laboratory skills and experience in working with the latest technologies and lab equipment. The research avenues under such a program along with the invaluable guidance of experts and researchers will help me get involved in leading researches. The Master's in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences will impart my research skills in drug development and allow me to undertake a detailed study of human, animal and plant bio-chemistry. The study of pathogens and immunology will be interesting and will assist my research on life-saving drugs.

The desire to take on more complex research and in-depth study of Pharmaceutical Drug development has driven me to make the decision for pursuing education from an internationally reputed and advanced education and research institution. The program will help me gain specialization in Pharmacy, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Research. The Master's program will serve as a crucial platform to gain valid research experience, guidance and mentorship from highly experienced faculty members and other research scholars. To be successful in my quest of undertaking critical research studies in this field, the laboratory and research facilities available to the University's students will be of core importance. This experience combined with a clear career strategy will help me plan for pursuing a PhD course in the future. Therefore, my decision to study in this program is a long-term investment into my academic and professional career.

As a graduate from the course, I would be able to work and continue my studies as a Research Scholar in areas such as Cancer Biology-Oncology, Animal and Medical Biotechnology etc. From a career point of view, I wish to become a leading researcher associated with some of the most advanced biotechnology labs and pharmaceutical research units across the globe. The sacrifices and hard work will surely pay off once I complete my research studies and get certified as a medical researcher. Also, I wish to learn under the best research teams working on issues closer to my heart. In the long term, I see myself as a teaching faculty and Researcher with valuable contributions to the field of medical sciences and pharmacy.

I have consistently tried to achieve overall development in my academic career. My extracurricular participation is the key to my personality and interpersonal skills development. During my school days, I actively took part in Environmental rallies on themes like Plastic ban, plantation drives etc. I used to participate regularly in elocution competitions as well. This helped me a lot during later years when I had to present several presentations and papers in Seminars and college events. As an undergraduate student I served as the anti-ragging representative of my department, organized talk shows, hosted orientation programmes for fresher batches and volunteered in social service activities through the university club - '[CLUB_NAME]' of [UNIVERSITY_NAME]. Personally, I like to cook and have a huge interest in culinary arts. I look forward to participating in student-led activities and continue learning through such unique opportunities in future.
