Growing up in the family of engineers and teachers, it has been fascinating for me to solve tech-problems with engineering mindset. For instance, at young age, remote controlled cars have enticed me to know its mechanism and I gradually developed a habit of assembling and disassembling every component that I could lay my hands upon, indicating that Engineering is where my interest lies. My passion for Mechanical Engineering stems from an inquisitive side that has fueled many of my interests, in particular Mechanics, due to its scope and daily life applications from a simple bicycle chain to the automatic transmission of the vehicles.

Throughout schooling, I have consistently maintained a good academic record. Participation in co-curricular activities made me a confident and patient individual. Being an active sportsperson, in particular Cricket, I was Vice-Captain in District and National Level Cricket representing my school. That said, I have participated in Annual Sports Meet and won various medals in running, marathon, swimming, etc. The milieu of a competitive peer group combined with the urge to excel academically instilled in me the virtue of hard work and resulted in me securing a seat in mechanical branch at [UNIVERSITY NAME], [CITY] (affiliated to [UNIVERSITY NAME]), one amongst the elite Engineering Schools in India.

As a practical learner, I induced myself in several technical extra-curricular activities. The design and manufacturing of 'Formula Prototyped Car' and the course in 'Introduction to Self-Driving Cars' enlightened me on the subtle relationship between Design of Machines, CAD softwares, Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Theory of Machines and Strength of Materials, and encouraged me to delve deeper. Being a part of the International Project ([PROJECT NAME]) and a National Project ([PROJECT NAME]), I handled multiple responsibilities such as design and analysis of wheel assembly and chassis, documentation, managing cost reports and presenting business plan to the judges of the event. Here, I learnt some managerial skills and its aspects which inclined me towards management studies. In order to satiate this desire, I took up a short duration online course of 'Procurement and Supply Chain Management' consisting modules such as Leverage Effect, Cost Analysis of Products, Economies of Scale, etc. The final year engineering project titled 'Design Optimization of Composite Leaf Spring of [VEHICLE MODEL]' showed my ability to deliver a clear, concise and neat presentation with a new perspective by demonstrating Suspension of the commercial vehicle. Being a team leader I ensured smooth working of the team and helped every member as and when required. At last, made a presentation to sum up all the project work and also took the responsibility of Project Report.

During bachelors, I also did two internships to enhance my engineering skills. [COMPANY NAME] offered me an internship in their organization in Power Plant department, where I got to apply the theoretical knowledge in real world which gave me an exposure to on-field industrial tasks. [COMPANY NAME] selected few students from our college for internship in their organization and I was one amongst them. Leading a team of 5 members in 'Advance Driver Assistance System (ADAS)' domain, I did all the important documentation and presented the same to reviewers, which was much appreciated by all. I got an opportunity to boost my managerial and leadership skills which allured me even more towards management aspects.

Apart from academics, participating in social activities ([NGO NAME]) gives me inner peace. Every year on my birth date, I volunteer for donating blood and encourage people for the same. College's biggest event '[EVENT NAME]' held every year, is a platform where we can showcase our talent. I volunteered this event which boosted my confidence and ability to manage resources. Balancing extracurricular with my academics has taught me how to multitask effectively.

My selection of country for Master's was certain, i.e. "United Kingdom", since it gives a wide array of choices for courses and specialization. U.K universities have always pioneered the research in my fields of interest. My seniors who are currently pursuing Master's in U.K have shared positive feedback on the education, curriculums and culture.

When it came down to choosing a University, I began with doing extensive study on the intent, course modules, location of the university and the validation process through friends and family. List of Universities offering courses in my area of interest were collated and efforts put in to understand the finer aspects of each university. After an intense read through of the course material and university stats, I concluded that the course at "[UNIVERSITY NAME]" is a class apart from others since it offers 'Engineering Management, MSc' in the subject area of 'Mechanical and Automotive Engineering' with excellent elective modules to build a desired pathway. I am fully aware that this course requires a high level of intelligence, unwavering dedication and hard work. I am confident that meeting these demands will not be an uphill task for me and I will be an asset to your renowned university. Along with this, campus life has a lot to offer such as sports clubs, volunteering for charities, accommodations, library, student services and study support. It has over 50 sports activities and being a sportsperson, I would love to be a part of Team [UNIVERSITY NAME] sports club and participate in it, in particular, [UNIVERSITY NAME] Cricket. Apart from this, University provides Professional Development Centre consisting of Job Shop, Careers and Placements which will be very helpful for me during my Master's.

I aim to be a Project manager, preferably in Automobile Sectors and shall pursue my goals with whole hearted dedication and can live to the standards set by the University. I sincerely hope to have a lasting association and script a bright future through [UNIVERSITY NAME].
