My university's curriculum provided me with a vast set of skills in the basics of engineering as well as engineering design, solid mechanics, machine element design, heat and mass transfer and systems engineering. The areas that kept me hooked were Industrial Engineering, Thermodynamics, and Engineering Mechanics as these not only immensely broadened my horizon but also offered me a chance to imbibe innovative thinking.
To enhance my technical abilities, I worked on a group project; Analysis of Conceptual Counter-Flow Microchannel Heat Exchanger Ansys where we worked on the development of a CAD model for conceptual counter-flow microchannel heat exchanger to highlight the effect of the passage of various shapes on performance parameters. Geometrical and meshing models of counter-flow microchannel heat exchanger for various geometries had been prepared and analysed critically for pure water on pumping power, effectiveness, heat transfer coefficient, friction factor for circular and square passage/channel. Furthermore, the model predictions for effectiveness for counter-flow microchannel heat exchanger using circular and square channel shapes had been compared and it was found that the effectiveness for circular geometry is more compared to square geometry. This project not only aided me in gaining the technical know-how but also helped me work on my teamwork, time management and planning abilities. I also took up an internship after my fourth semester with [COMPANY_NAME], and during this, I gained imperative insights into industrial training, basics of the production department while fulfilling the duties assigned to me.
Academics and project work have been at the forefront of my pursuits but extracurriculars have allowed me to contribute to my development holistically. Since my schooling days, I have actively been involved in several art, design and cultural competitions. I was a Runner up in the Digital India Competition held at [UNIVERSITY_NAME]. To move ahead on my professional timeline, I have extensively taken up courses that have allowed me to work on my Ansys CFD, AutoCAD and Python skills. At this point, I am eager to explore opportunities that help me develop the level of expertise I have so long desired. I aim to work on Renewable Thermal Systems and for the same, I need to acquire an internationally recognized skill set in the domains of mechanical engineering. I am eager to understand the nuances of the Thermal and fluid engineering and establish myself as a Thermal Engineer with leading organizations. Therefore, MEng. in Mechanical Engineering would be an apt fit for my goals and objectives.
