STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

"Management" – the word itself describes that the skill to manage in every specific domain stands imperative to every individual. Like Abraham Lincoln says, "Give me six hours to chop down a tree, and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe." Thus, managing time and being equally productive is essential when you are working in every organization. Belonging from a business family, business ideas enthralled me with failures that came our way in the family business, and trying to fix the flaws, the interest in management brewed further.

I have been immensely attentive to my academics, and since a very young age, I have been trying to perfect every single thing I came across. During my higher studies in school, I had accountancy and economics papers; I was intrigued to discover that just a few numbers had such a vast effect on the economy. I have been involved in projects since my school days and was always excited for it since it came with an opportunity to explore the different facets of the subject while researching for the project. I had maths, economics, commerce, and accountancy in both my +1 and +2, and I would say that having these subjects helped me understand the primary utility and function when it came to real life.

Thus, with growing interest, I decided to pursue my graduation with BBA. I knew with prior research that a BBA course would allow me to learn more about managerial skills and develop analytical skills alongside those that are equally essential in the world of business. I have always been very calculative about my career choices, and thus, rather than switching courses, I preferred dedicating all my time to the same stream and learning it from the heart of it. I started with my BBA degree from [UNIVERSITY_1] Business School. I opted for [UNIVERSITY_1] because of the diversity and non-academic exposure that it offered. It has almost got more than 38,000 students over 50 different countries and more than 250 international partners. Other than these, I felt that it would allow me to further develop and hone my social skills with participation in clubs and events. We were always involved in projects since the University believed that practical exposures are the most essential for learning the subject in-depth.

I felt overwhelmed and elated during these particular subjects and projects in Financial Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, Research Methods for Management, Entrepreneurship, Sales Management, and Total Quality Management. I have been a part of 14 clubs and chapters in [UNIVERSITY_1] and received two portfolios from 1 club and 1 chapter; managing these, I have also received academic excellence recognition for scoring a good GPA in my 1st year. I was always among the top 10 students in my course.

More than anything, I worked as finance manager for a [UNIVERSITY_1] Business School's Management Fest named [EVENT_1] and [EVENT_2]. I had three subordinates under me whom I had to manage and communicate with. As it was my first experience, I learned a lot of things like team-leading, and how to manage finance and purchases practically. As Vice-Chair Person for [UNIVERSITY_1] Mathematical Association Student Chapter, I have received this position of power in December 2020 and am currently pursuing this position. I have to coordinate and manage the chapter's managerial side like events, finance, design, HR, and editorial. I have more than 60 subordinates to operate in the chapter whom I have to constantly keep track of and ask for their reviews and implement constant changes and ideas. This gave me experience in managing between people and having responsibility for being in the position. These are the two main steps that I got, and I took towards my interest in the specialization.

I knew that excellent team leadership quality and rational and analytical thinking would be highly demanded, and I appreciated the market. Thus I worked for it with sheer dedication. I have the aura and the grounds to claim that I am a team leader and a team player. I have exceptional time management skills, but that often get hindered due to other teammates lacking the submission. Therefore, I ensure that the team members are selected based on their quality, potential, and efficiency. The most incredible thing that helped me establish such rates is the fact that I was an authoritative member in several clubs in my school. I make sure that I discreetly complete my tasks without leaving any loopholes. I have also sharpened my interpersonal skills, and communicating with clients and other people is a piece of cake. My extra-curricular activities with Community Radios and NGOs also aided me in developing these skill sets.

I have always looked forward to gaining practical exposure, and that triggered me to do several internships. I was the campus ambassador for the different apprenticeships. I have interned in four other companies during my graduate program, which helped me gather further practical insight into the subject. I have worked with [COMPANY_1] as a Youth Representative/Campus Ambassador, [ORGANIZATION_1] as a Content Creator, [COMPANY_2] as a Finance and Business Development Manager, and [COMPANY_3] as Finance and Sponsorship Manager. All these experiences accounted for my knowledge in marketing, sales, content creation, management of finance, and business development. I have been made not only aware of what the market requires but, at the same time, I have learned how to work efficiently in these domains. Meeting deadlines has always been a challenging task, but I have also known to manage it. I have shown enthusiasm in my work. I am working on my planning skills and being more effective when it comes to strategic thinking.

I did my research work at the University and the professors I would like to work with if I get an opportunity to do so. I am well aware of all the market trends, and I keep myself updated about current affairs. Mastering in this respective subject would give me an edge to know the issue better. Since gaining practical knowledge is equally essential, I would like to have more practical exposure to it. I wish to use the knowledge I have gathered in this field for self-betterment and the betterment of the institution. Over the last three years, I have gained many skills, and I am still learning. I believe the combination of my effort and willingness to keep learning will always help me. This subject has thus stolen my attention, and I want to work over it unsolicitedly. With dedication, I can imply my BBA graduation skills to the business field further.

My targeted specialization is financial advisory or strategic planner. I choose both because both of the disciplines require rational thinking and are inevitable roles in any organization. I feel comforted when I see numbers, and mainly how magic is created when planning out financials and strategies to influence the company and company growth. After I complete this master's degree, I am looking forward to completing my Ph.D. in finance or management-related areas, but I still have not decided on the stance of a Ph.D. But if in case I am not taking up a Ph.D., I am willing to pursue a job relating to finance and management from a product or service-oriented company which is not a core financial institution. After a tremendous amount of academics, i.e., undergraduate, graduate, and hopefully Ph.D., I am looking forward to working in the corporate world for an ample amount of time, gaining me practical hands-on experience in the corporate world. At the same time, I will be knowing ground-level to higher-level problems so that strategic planning will be easier. Coming to my long-term goals, I am willing to join hands with my father to enter the business world.

I have come such a long way with this subject; my dream goal has yet to be achieved. When I saw your University was offering this course, I could not just stop myself from thinking of pursuing it. I did my research work at the University and the professors I would like to work with if I get an opportunity to do so; I have not only looked into the academic prospects but also learned a lot about how the course is conducted, and I could not stop myself from opting for it. I am well aware of all the market trends, and I keep myself updated about current affairs. Mastering in Management would give me an edge to know the subject better and undoubtedly be advantageous for knowledge and salary escalation.

I feel that I will be a perfect fit for the course offered by your University. I strongly believe in myself and my potential in achieving the plans I have made. With my complete confidence, I can assure you that you will not be let down. Performing well and learning more about the subject, and gathering practical exposure is my most important goal.
