During my undergraduate studies, I wanted to apply my classroom knowledge to real-world problems. Hence, I secured an internship at a startup that aimed to transform data collected from villages into 3D printed products. I learned how technologies like Excel, pandas, and Matplotlib could aid in solving local problems sustainably and cost-effectively. It was one of my first experiences of using data to assist society in solving its problems and changed my perspective on the value that data brings into any equation. This helped me meet people from different cultures, articulate myself better and understand peer-to-peer connect from a fresh cultural perspective.
