MASTER'S IN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING
[NAME]
One of the most logical decisions of my life was to choose Mechanical Engineering as my major because it has introduced me to more powerful niches within its scope. The best part of my program is that it can be integrated with electronics, computer science, or even civil engineering and recreates its own niche to produce original and innovative solutions to enterprises. With all the nuances of fields in hand, I had the opportunity to venture into something more robust and thought-driven career options. This way, I got introduced to Industrial Engineering. This inspired me to work in the same field, and thus, I decided to take up my career in the direction of Industrial Engineering. To pursue this field, I chose [UNIVERSITY] as my ideal learning center because it is one of the most recognized universities for the above-mentioned program.
The decision to choose a demanding niche such as Industrial Engineering occurred due to me curiously venturing into multiple dynamics of Mechanical Engineering fields. I always had the zeal to go to any extent to learn skills and competencies that would provide optimal solutions at large. For instance, I first worked on a project of creating a working model for vertical farming. This concept was new, but I was very much excited to pursue this project under the elite guidance of my professor [PROFESSOR NAME]. I used NX software, Ansys, and Computation to finish this project to its perfection. With all the acquired skills, in my fourth year, I started with my final year project, where I had to use different tools such as MATLAB, Laboratory Equipment, Battery management board and others to review the battery management systems in state of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH) for electric vehicles. This was one of our most ambitious projects and it took close to five months to finish. The project was reviewed by professors and the head of the department who appreciated us for the tremendous work.
Another incident that I thoroughly enjoyed was when I visited [COMPANY] during my third year where I witnessed the robotics and kaizen methods that have been used there to create automation, reduce the redundancy, and improve the quality and efficiency of capsules and other medicines. The process design, supply chain management, and overall processing greatly impressed me. Since I was already a mechanical engineer in the making, this industry tour brought more refined insights about my future, and thus I decided to give more attention towards Industrial Engineering.
Interning with [COMPANY], I have gained a real-time understanding of how to check the parameters of design and its measurements. My role included checking efficacy in the work of people as per their shift, evaluate the designs of mold cavities and ensure accurate measurements and label them appropriately so that there will be no misinterpretation to the worker. I am also accountable to check the assembly being done well, make sure to check the assembly is done correctly and to check if all the parts of the mold cavity are available at the time of assembly. Working on these areas have generated significant insights about design, quality control, Six Sigma, and other quality charts. The internship helped me bag a role as a Graduate Engineer Trainee (G.E.T) at [COMPANY]. Over a span of three months, I have learned how to optimize the design processes, reduce the cycle time, design layouts to reduce processing time, and use data efficiency and quality efficiency methods such as Kaizen, Probability Theory, and Statistics. In short, the whole working environment has reinforced my desire to reach an apex in Industrial Engineering.
The quality of University education plays an important role in shaping up a student's career. This motive has made me find the right university that satisfies my core objective of learning and upgrading my skills in the field of Industrial Engineering. After a significant time researching on the internet, seeking expert consultations, and advice from friends and family for my master's program, I chose the US as my ideal destination because this country has garnered its reputation for all the right reasons. From innovation to ingenuity, from philosophy to theology, the country bears pure fruits of intellect. Besides, this country is also a true hub for mechanical industries. After gaining work experience, I decided that the master's program is the right opportunity to enhance my skill set.
Through this University, I would like to learn various modules such as Applied Deterministic Operations Research, Stochastic Operations, Probability and Statistics for Engineering Problem Solving, and Operations Research Deterministic Techniques. I happened to research the professors at the University and found them to be experienced in the field of study and research. I personally would like to get mentored by [PROFESSOR NAME], [PROFESSOR NAME], and [PROFESSOR NAME]. I also intend to take a strong elective to grow in the knowledge. I wish to exhibit my ideas in the clubs organized by the University so I can get vital insights. The R&D sectors in the US are also very rich and this exposure shall also give me a rich experience. I feel that this course has all the industrial standards that I am looking for. Overall, I found that this university is one of the best universities to fulfill my academic dream. Working with industries will shape my skills to excellence and provide valuable insights into my career path in the years to come. As per my short-term goal, I would like to attend lectures, network with likeminded people, and take STEM-based initiatives.
On the other hand, I would like to bring some key skills that make me special. I would like to bring my sports enthusiasm to your University. I have been playing Volleyball and Cricket since I was 12 and I am very excited to contribute my sports skill at the University level. I have also taken part in many community service activities and I hope to do more in future.
To conclude, I believe that it will be a great opportunity to be admitted to your university and I hope that I get the chance to make the most of my skills and gain experience.
