"Corporate culture matters. How management chooses to treat its people impacts everything - for better or for worse." - Simon Sinek. The quoted words are a very lucid elucidation of the significance of management in the success or failure of the endeavours of any organisation, even in healthcare. Management involves interacting with multiple people, observe them and modify their work according to their personalities. All these activities are those which I have an affinity toward and therefore a Master's programme in Management would be the most appropriate course to escalate my professional career in the direction of my choice. Taking into account the knowledge I have acquired throughout the course of my undergraduate programme, I intend to learn more about the healthcare systems and organisations to pave my way into this sector in the future.
Hailing from a family full of engineers impelled me to take up Biology and Human Science during my courses because I was always inclined to stand apart. I wanted to acquire knowledge about the fields of medicine and health since I had noticed that my family is lacking knowledge in those respects and I wanted to not only educate myself but also those around me in such essential aspects of life.
I have always strived to excel in academics and extend my knowledge beyond the boundaries of the course-work. I completed my tenth grade examinations from [SCHOOL_NAME] under the Maharashtra SSC Board in 2015 with 89% marks. I completed my intermediates from [COLLEGE_NAME] which is under the Maharashtra HSC Board in 2017 with 77% marks. Post my intermediates, I joined in a Bachelor's programme in Pharmacy in [COLLEGE_NAME] under [UNIVERSITY_NAME] and completed the course in 2021 with a CGPA of 9.28. This course gave me a comprehensive understanding of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences and also assisted me in acquiring the necessary skillsets for flourishing professionally in this sector. This field of study catered to my proclivity toward medical science and medicine at the same time. Moreover, the field of pharmacy would always be relevant even in the future and this course would always prove to be beneficial.
My undergraduate programme aided in my multifaceted development. The subjects of Pharmaceutical Management and Pharmaceutics were of most interest to me. The former subject initiated me into the management sector of healthcare and also gave me a fair understanding of the Indian pharmacy markets. I had been acquainted with the term "trading and markets" and started researching and learning about it. Eventually, I became inclined toward the trading and chart analysis and decided to explore more about the managerial aspects of healthcare.
During my undergraduate programme, I also actively contributed in some projects. I took part in a project titled "Plants & Aesthetics" which revolved around natural remedies to skin problems. We made the public aware about the benefits of various commonly used natural ingredients like coriander, pineapple, rice water and some others by giving lucid scientific explanations. We also provided personalized recommendations in accordance to their feedbacks. The data collected in the course of this project was utilized to understand the amount of knowledge general public possess and how much awareness about the ill-effects of applying cosmetics needs to be created among them. One of my other projects is a Management Project which required us to create a product of a certain category and strategize its launch and marketing. Being allotted in the category of antacids, we decided on making Orodispersible Antacid Film which dissolves instantaneously when placed on the tongue. This project enabled me to have a comprehensive understanding about the various aspects of marketing a product like target audience, market value, profit margin, customer satisfaction and at the same time feedback troubleshooting. My involvement in these two projects enhanced my communication skills and leadership abilities immensely. Both the projects required public interaction and the whole process honed my ability to effectively getting across a point. Similarly, working in a group demands leadership skills alongside the skill of thinking on the feet. The skills which I enhanced and acquired during the course of these projects would undoubtedly be of assistance in the professional sector. I have also attended a one-year Cancer Biology course online which helped me to know more about human cytology and oncology.
