I firmly believe that the reason I want to study Data Science after having spent years in the domain of Chemical Engineering arises from my love for exploring the unexplored. With an ex-naval father and the opportunity to travel far and wide, I was always keen on exploring the unknown. However, I felt that I wasn't challenged enough while pursuing Chemical Engineering. I also interned at a startup, and despite my amateur data analytics skills, I realized my passion for the subject. Hence, after in-depth discussions with my peers, colleagues, and family, coupled with painstaking research on the subject, I have decided to pursue the Master's Program in Data Science at the prestigious [UNIVERSITY_NAME].

Python and Machine Learning helped me discover that programming, an impressive skill, harbored tremendous potential. I began working with Machine Learning and Data Structure as an intern. I learned Python and applied it regularly to solve challenges within professional organizations. Using my expertise to complete end-to-end assignments, I was intrigued by the complexity that Data Structure and Machine Learning offered. At present, I hold over two years of professional experience in constructing Machine Learning models and implementing them from inception to delivery. It enthralls me to think of the various prospects during a Master's course that could help me strengthen my skill repertoire and explore its numerous possibilities of application.

Through courses and personal initiatives, I have integrated several skills related to Python, Docker, AWS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB. Moreover, I have also used Advanced Microsoft Excel, Flask, DevOps, NLP, and OpenCV to work on smaller as well as more significant professional tasks. My other specializations within the domain of Computer Science lie in Data Modelling, Data Mining, Data Warehousing, Power BI, and even Tableau. However, the subjects that truly captured my attention are Mass Transfer, MATLAB, and C Programming.

In addition to my educational pursuits, I also made it a point to work towards enriching my extracurricular ventures. I found my passion in hackathons and participated in several of them, resulting in my enhanced computational skills and the ability to work competently even under duress. There is no greater teacher than playing a sport. I played badminton regularly to stay in shape and maintain discipline in my routine. I also began networking with new people within my field and across other hobbies to allow myself the space to grow through inculcating the life lessons of others.

I began my career in a modest startup as an intern, where my responsibilities fuelled me more than the paycheck that came with it. I stayed abreast of new technological advances and assisted my organization in implementing more current initiatives with the motive to use resources judiciously. I was able to identify innovative approaches and aided my team in integrating them into projects. A crucial value that I integrated during my time there was that of leadership and camaraderie. I often took on single customer projects and saw them through to completion. Further, I managed multiple projects across teams, all of which were delivered promptly. I also worked on my interpersonal skills by interacting with clients and mentoring interns and newer recruits. Moreover, I built on my team-building capabilities and pitched initiatives in hackathons on behalf of the firm to acquire more contemporary experiences for myself and my colleagues.

On completing my Master's degree, I want to work with corporations that create space for growth among their associates. I want to implement software skills that I will have learned during my Master's tenure at the college, like second nature. Hence, I intend to work perseveringly to make it happen with an organization that recognizes my skills and value. A few years down the road, I picture myself as the lead or senior developer I desired to become when I first set foot in the industry without any concrete knowledge to boot. Except, this time, I will have the intelligence and resources to accomplish any challenge that I may be faced with.

I understand that my desire to switch educational fields comes with the disadvantage of having relatively lesser knowledge of the subject. However, I stand by the fact that my practical experiences more than compensate for them. I believe that communicating and interacting with my peers and professors at the institution will provide me with the right guidance and help me develop the correct temperament that I need to sustain myself in the industry.

Learning has always happened very naturally to me. Given a chance to study at this institution, I will be able to expand on that ability and create opportunities for myself and inspire those who have shied away from making complex choices in their career. I believe that my admittance to the University will come with the responsibility to change the current structure in the data science sector. I am wholly committed to making that change happen as soon as I am handed the means to do so. Therefore, I hope that I have conveyed my intentions thoroughly and that the admissions committee sees in me the potential to become a valuable part of your distinguished institution.
