As we move into the twenty-first century, it is evident that computers and information technology have a crucial role to play in human lives. Data has certainly become omnipresent in all areas such as e-commerce, entertainment, healthcare, manufacture, marketing, finance, technology and even defence. Hundreds of other industries utilise the skills of data analysts to improve processes, identify opportunities and trends, launch new products, identify user behaviours and most importantly make thoughtful decisions by targeting these user behaviours and patterns. There is a huge opportunity to progress if you choose a career in computer and data sciences, as it's a growing industry and relevant to so many different businesses.

My interest in Computer Science with specialization in Data Science comes from various factors. I have always had keen interests in taking up tasks and leading them, analysing the meaning behind the values, understanding the reason for the values, evaluating the best possible outcomes therefore the field of Science naturally suits me. The prospect of working in today's modern world industries and markets on an international scale excites me greatly and thus I am applying to [UNIVERSITY] in hopes of pursuing a Master's in Data Science.

I have had the privilege of obtaining high-quality education right from childhood and this led me to complete my Bachelors of Engineering in Information Science and Engineering from [COLLEGE] under [UNIVERSITY], where I was allowed to select my specialization and I opted in the field of information science. Studying this field gave me crucial insights into the world of innovations and technology thus building my interest in it. While in the university I was given many opportunities such as live case studies which made the concepts easier and showed the practical application. I also received some hands-on experience through the various internships that intrigued me to learn more and stand apart from the crowd and learn directly from the corporate environment.

My experience at [COMPANY], as a "Software Developer-Intern" is a rewarding one where I learnt not only about software but also the importance of constructive feedback, putting forth your ideas and listening and understanding different viewpoints, which I count as one of the most important learnings. Taking up projects on Computer Forensics and Voice-Sensor Controlled Robot helped me gain a firm understanding of computers and I also had a chance of being a "Web Developer-Intern" under [COMPANY]. Also I had the opportunity to access the Architecting with Google Compute Engine in [ONLINE_PLATFORM].

Realising my future goals and visions, I gather into focus my objectives. In particular, I am interested in factors that affect the competitive performance of a Business Concern and how changes in technology affect an organization's structure, long-time business strategies, the state of the economy and growth, securities, internal and external factors of financial decisions etc. Further, I want to understand how data and computer sciences play a relevant role in the shaping of trends, patterns and target audiences. I look up to my graduate studies in Information Science and Engineering as an avenue to refine my skills and an opportunity to refine my career. I would like to dwell deeper into the field of Data science and its other aspects completely. After completion of the program, my career goal is to become a leading Data Scientist and work with global companies to make a positive economic impact and develop a career that is rewarding in all domains. To bridge the gap between my current skill set and future goals, I feel an MSc in Data Science is imperative. Given a chance, I would like to study deeply the subjects related to Data science (such as machine learning, NLP, and Information Visualization) that will magnify my knowledge base.

I always wanted to pursue my master's studies in the US because of the academic excellence opportunities that it provides. Future Data Science professionals need an understanding of the complex interrelation between relevant and irrelevant topics and to be able to facilitate decision making, develop great interpersonal skills, be a quick problem solver by analysing the market and situation that would be beneficial and overall know how to apply theories to the real world of business and your programme will provide it with a clear understanding of how it operates considering the socio-economic environment and be able to manage the challenges of global affairs.
