As a student of Computer Science, I realized that staying abreast of Data Science technologies will help me in my career pursuits of becoming a successful IT professional. My passion for the subject and relevant professional experiences have further fuelled this inclination, and I have come to the conclusion that I want to expand my knowledge base on Data Science via an advanced degree. Being a part of structured coursework at an international institute will help me follow my aspirations and immerse myself in the appropriate atmosphere for success. Since school, I was always fascinated by technology, as I was extremely interested in how it has become an integral part of our daily lives. I was also mesmerized by the usability of technology such as a smartphone, which little kids can easily handle. As this realization fueled my passion, I started exploring technology even more and decided to study computer programming during my high school years. My excitement knew no bounds, as I understood the vast possibilities and applications computer science has to offer. Subsequently, I enrolled at [UNIVERSITY_NAME], [CITY], for my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering. The outstanding curriculum exposed me to a wide variety of fascinating subjects, including Object-oriented Programming, Database Management, Cyber Security, and Artificial Intelligence. Furthermore, I also explored Web Development and the Internet of Things, but when I came across Data Science, I received the uttermost fulfilment. While exploring the nuances of the subject, I understood its importance in modern business solutions and its profound impact on the employment opportunities of IT professionals, which I wanted to capitalize on. My brother, who is a senior Data Science professional, also inspired me in this regard.

Together with the college practicum, I sought opportunities beyond my academic obligations to apply my skills to gain industrial experience and develop my technical skillset. So, I decided to engage myself in various projects and internships actively. My internship journey started at [COMPANY_NAME], where I joined as an intern working primarily on Python and Django. After being trained in these technologies, I developed an E-Commerce app. At my next internship at [COMPANY_NAME], I joined as a Chatbot Developer Intern and was assigned the responsibilities of working with a chatbot developer team. I gained extensive knowledge on Javascript and the Gupshup Platform and later translated it into a Travel Seek Chatbot, which helped users find their ideal holiday destination. I continued diversifying my professional profile by joining [COMPANY_NAME] as a Machine Learning intern. I worked on developing a Document Parser in Python that can extract data from bank statements. I used CRF for segmenting and modelling the cleaned data to make this project a success. I am currently working as a big data developer at [COMPANY_NAME], [CITY], where I am learning various data science technologies such as Hadoop, Pyspark, Hive. Further, I have also developed a Zomato ETL project for extracting data from CSV files, transforming and loading that data into a Hadoop file system. All these experiences have broadened my knowledge base on Data Science and strengthened my technical foundation.

While these diverse internship experiences have undoubtedly steepened my learning curve, I also sought out online courses to broaden my horizons. As I understood the interconnection between data science and machine learning, I took various courses on the technologies covering the subjects. These included Complete Python Bootcamp, Machine Learning using Python, and Introduction to Machine Learning. While I gained basic knowledge of Python and machine learning from these courses, I also enrolled in a Natural Language Processing using Tensorflow and Deep Learning Specialization to understand how various advanced algorithms used data to derive real-world solutions.

Beyond the academic and professional precincts, I also actively participated in various extracurricular activities to lead a healthy and well-balanced life. My passion for playing and watching football steered me to participate in various tournaments in college and subsequently received an Emerging Player of the Season Award. These endeavors enabled me to acquire a refined knowledge base on data science and the importance of expanding it for a better future.

Having developed a robust academic and professional foundation through the experience is depicted earlier, I want to take the next step in moving my career trajectory forward. At this juncture, I wish to enroll for a Master's coursework in Data Science and delve deeper into this fascinating field. As my rewarding undergraduate program and industrial experiences have equipped me with the skills relevant to the industry, I believe the Master's program will solidify my base and strengthen my technical skillset.
