Statement of Purpose

I am [NAME]. I finished my undergraduate degree and have been working as a Full Stack Web and Cloud Application Developer for the past 3 years. I would like to upgrade my qualification and career through your university, which would help me achieve my aspirations. I am certain that education from this international institution in the UK will provide me with the right opportunity to achieve my career goals.

I started my undergraduate studies in 2015. I completed my bachelor's degree in software application, which is a computer applications-oriented course. I took this course because I love to create new things. It all started in high school in the 10th grade when I got my first Android mobile. I was curious about the applications functioning on the mobile, and that was the first time I began developing Android apps and started to feed my curiosity.

I started developing my coding skills in Android Application Development during my second year. I went to other colleges for coding events, and by my final year, I was able to create a full-fledged Android mobile application with a backend database system. During the third year of my bachelor's degree, I got a great opportunity to attend a hackathon conducted by [UNIVERSITY] and [COMPANY]. It was a 24-hour challenge to build a mobile app for the [COMPANY] company. Everyone there was new to each other, coming from all over India. From 700 students, I was shortlisted to the final 32 students, and we formed a team of 4. We created an Android application on a topic given by [COMPANY] and won 5th place. This experience increased my confidence level in team management, and I gained much more knowledge than I already had. It was a great experience that proved very useful to me.

After completing college with my application development skills, I was offered a job as an intern in a startup company for about 8 months in [CITY]. I was one of the application developers in a team of 5. The app was basically a food delivery application. While working as an intern, I even started to explore web applications and cloud computing. During that time, I got a chance to attend an interview at a US-based company where I was placed within a couple of months. I joined as a Junior Full Stack Developer. The first three months were very difficult for me to cope with the management, as it was all new to me as a web application developer. I took this as a challenge for myself, and I am now a successful Senior Application Developer. As I was interested in Amazon Web Services cloud computing, my company sponsored me to do a certification in Amazon Web Services. I am a certified AWS Cloud Practitioner. Then I realized this was just the beginning and I needed to explore more, so I started to do research on cyber security, WAPT, firewall, and offensive security. That's where I want to build secured applications without any possibility for vulnerability.

The reason I chose the UK is that the education system has a strong international reputation and is known for its effective structure, innovative policy developments, and independent thinking throughout its universities. The UK is a safe, friendly, sophisticated, and yet harmonious society in which to learn and travel. The UK is currently the most popular destination for international students among English-speaking countries. Many international students choose to study in the UK because of its friendly, laid-back nature, excellent education system, cultural diversity, and high standard of living. Students can be part of a multicultural environment and cultural activities. As an international student in the UK, I can expect to live, grow, and learn in a well-developed, friendly country full of opportunities.

Most people believe that their data is secure and their actions are confidential, but we often hear incidents of system hacking and server crashes on the news without understanding the magnitude of these kinds of catastrophes. The fight against piracy is real, but we are not even close to identifying at least fifty percent of the sources of pirated material, let alone tracking them down. This is the reason why I chose cyber security.

I want to pursue a Master's degree in Cyber Security at [UNIVERSITY]. It would be a great honor to study in the best student city in the UK. The Securing Project Management with Advanced Practice (MSc) program at your prestigious institution will help me achieve my goal of becoming a successful cyber security professional, which will equip me with the talent and ability to run my own business in the future.
