STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I am a civil engineering graduate from [UNIVERSITY_1], [COLLEGE_1], [STATE_1] that provides the best faculties and facilities in this field. I wish to pursue my master's in construction project management further as I feel that obtaining a master's degree will assist me in elevating my financial and economic status. I believe that learning never stops and with an industry as dynamic as the one I want to pursue a career in, constantly updating your skills, market knowledge, and personal skills is of utmost necessity. I want to gain more knowledge on construction management as it is a promising career with growing job opportunities. It will help me to learn more on project management and leadership skills. Having education from abroad will be an advantage for my career too and it was my dream to pursue higher studies in UK.

During my studies I challenged myself to excel and overcome my shortcomings and as a result, my performance improved academically and my limitations thus helped me to become a better version of myself. I have always had a flair for management and I am sure that this program will help me to gain a deeper understanding and build my technical knowledge to help me fulfill my goal.

I come from a very encouraging family, where we are total 5 members and my father always motivated me to learn more on project management and leadership skills. Having education from abroad will be an advantage for my career too and it was my dream to pursue higher studies in UK. My personality traits involve being a very approachable person with decision-making skills. Being a good listener, I have the courage and passion for making the right decision when required. I have always been fascinated by buildings and it was a childhood dream to build something that could go down in the golden pages of history.

After my graduation, I have worked on a project named Soil Stabilization by Using Poly Propylene Fiber. I learned that the structure of the foundation is important as well as for foundation the strength of soil matters. The main objective of the project was to strengthen the loose soil by using poly propylene fiber. In this first we have to evaluate the soil properties of the area which is under consideration then we have to decide the property of the soil which is to be altered to get the design value. After testing in lab the stability and durability, the poly propylene fibers are burned to form chemical then it is poured at the specific area where the soil is loose, hence the soil gets stabilized. I have undergone internship from [COMPANY_1] on [PROJECT_1] and learned how to boil the poly propylene fiber and how to place the chemical on the loose soil. I took part in extracurricular activities like serving as a student co-ordinator of my college and conducted various events as well as received second prize for the paper presentation. The challenging times that we are witnessing today lead us to a very uncertain future in terms of the economy. The pandemic has altered the financial state of countries unpredictably. This is today's reality, and I wish to spend the coming years among minds that would facilitate a change in the multilayered business models, thereby adding to the global markets.

I have started my career as a draughtsman with an aim to make my drafting skill more sharp and utilize this skill in my upcoming career. So due to this it made me easy to study drawings of structures as well as it helped me to educate and instruct my colleagues as a Project Engineer. I have a great leadership skill and was managing the whole team with nice communication skill which was helpful for my firm to manage the clients. In my organization, I was the project engineer and handling the Flue Gas Desulfurization Project. We worked on constructing building, absorber, drain, water tank, etc. As a Project Engineer my aim was not only to complete the activity of the project on time, but also I was taking care of the requirements of staff, laborers and project. I have an experience of handling project responsibilities involving monitoring the schedule of plans as discussed with the clients, resolving the problems, onsite checking materials and requirements for site, staff and laborers. With this program, I want to gain growth in my career with peaceful life. During that time I was assigned certain projects and tasks which required me to lead and while facing challenges being a new to it I discovered leadership qualities and people around me also appreciated my work which further boosted my confidence.

As construction management is one of the promising careers with growing job opportunities, it will help me improve my skills in construction project delivery, decision making, leadership, communication and strategic thinking. It will also help me to learn about handling of complicated construction assignments, corporate issues and offering proper solutions. Overall if we see it has so much to offer. In future it will not only put me in professional office environment but also out in the field too. I wish to gain practical knowledge about the most modern techniques in the construction field and apply them for the betterment. The well-designed course along with highly qualified and experienced faculty will be an ideal environment and platform for achieving my goals.
