STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Having grown up in a family of real-estate business handlers, being surrounded by the terms of construction and business was not a big deal for me. I have been acquainted with this world sector from childhood and got a heads up about the construction field and sites during my school days. Being a real-estate mediator, my father often asked me to tag along with him and learn about his business, which ignited my interest in this domain. I became curious about the small things and developed a will to know in detail about them. So, I decided to step into an academic career where I could grow and widen my knowledge in construction on the whole. Therefore, after completing my schooling, I opted for the science stream and worked hard enough to pursue a career in the engineering background.

After studying hard in my 11th and 12th grades, I secured admission for a bachelor's in Civil Engineering at [UNIVERSITY_NAME], [CITY_NAME], in 2015. I was exposed to a deepened study program through this bachelor's course and realized that my interests were not limited to any particular field but various subjects. I started enjoying the House Planning Management and Principles of Management subjects the most in my degree program. To bolster my learning, I took part in projects and class events where I got a chance to showcase my learning.

One of the important projects that I worked on in my under-graduation was about "Delays in Construction Project." We, a group of four members, decided to work in a team which I led. We did not confine ourselves to the books or sources but visited on-field commercial and residential sites and collected data to get the best results. Our contemplated survey figured out that delays happen due to weather problems, financial problems, lack of labor, etc. We ensured to visit most sites of our city which gave us a sense of working on the field. I find this project quite useful as we discovered several reasons we can consider in the future run.

I also worked on three miniatures during my college days: the hydraulic bridge, truss bridge, and suspension bridge. These miniatures that I worked on were highly innovative and impressive. As these three miniatures were of different models, I learned extensively about all of them. Upon my understanding, I realized that the hydraulic bridge lifts through hydraulic pressure; the truss bridge is something where the load transfers through the steel truss. The suspension bridge is where the suspension chain holds the bridge's load and transfers it gradually. Learning this difference in my under-graduation through a practical approach worked wonders for me as a civil engineer. I have completed several certification courses like AutoCAD2D, Revit3D, Microsoft Project Management, StaadPRO, and Quantity Takeoff to better my knowledge.

The four years of my bachelor's prepared me extremely well in the domain of engineering. With projects and workshops, my knowledge continued to widen. However, I realized that even though I have gained advanced knowledge in the civil background, I still lack proper guidance in the business sector. Therefore, I learned this area better. I decided to go for a master's in business administration (MBA) in project management and secured admission at [UNIVERSITY_NAME] through a distance education option in 2019.

In May 2019, I joined [COMPANY_NAME] as an intern, where my role was to understand labor-management skills. During this internship, I was involved in several roles and responsibilities, which shaped me as a better engineer. I was later a part of the team and joined the firm as a site engineer. I worked here until March 2020, when I secured another job with [COMPANY_NAME], [CITY_NAME] as a site engineer. Having worked in several roles in this company, I realize I have grown a lot professionally.

After this enormous academic and professional exposure, my hunger to learn more has ever grown. I want to excel in the construction field, and advanced knowledge will always prove to be beneficial. Pursuing an MS in Construction Project Management will widen my skill set and will be an added feather to my list of achievements. Therefore, I decided to choose the best available opportunity and hone my skills. My long-term goal after completing the degree is to become an entrepreneur and start my project. However, to do so, it is essential to gain superior knowledge, and so, my current goal is to learn all about the field and work extensively in this background to shape my knowledge.

As I am aiming to reach new heights, I need to evolve myself accordingly. Therefore, I decided not to let go of this opportunity and consider studying in the number one student destination, the UK. There is no doubt that the UK is one of the best places for students to grow and learn, and so, I made up my mind to study here. The excellent student background provided here will enable me to learn an all-around lifestyle. I was intrigued by this thought, and so I chose to finalize the UK as my destination.

My biggest area of interest is the subject of Project Management which is extensively offered at [UNIVERSITY_NAME] and this is why I decided to consider studying here. I was attracted by the student in-take rate and benefits given to students in this university. The vast pool of opportunities available for students here is another reason behind my interest in [UNIVERSITY_NAME]. Considering my will to learn and grow, I believe by indulging with an international student crowd, I will get a chance to express myself better and work on the skills which I presently lack.
