STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

When I use Google for the first time or today when I log into Facebook every day and come up with some new element in it, I feel a sense of amazement. Here are innovations that keep evolving technically and hold infinite scope for creativity and logic. I feel a similar sense of exhilaration when I see my code run successfully. To date, this feeling drives me not to give up on even the toughest of problems. Moreover, this love for programming, combined with my desire to dig deeper into the working of various applications and technologies, propels me to apply for a Graduate course in Computer Science.

I became familiar with computers because I have seen this electronic device since childhood. My father owned a computer store, and I often used to go there and stare at this device for a couple of minutes. I was so fascinated with the color, size and structure of computers at the store that I dreamed of having one for myself. When I saw the first laptop in 2001 – it was [LAPTOP_MODEL] – the fact that every significant thing can be made so tiny and portable amazed me. I have always been interested since childhood and had an idea in configuring at a young age. That is the reason I pursued my bachelor's in Computer Science.

During my bachelor's in Computer Science study, I have developed keen analytical and reasoning skills. Through the Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree program in Computer Science and Engineering at [UNIVERSITY_NAME], [CITY], I acquired an overall perspective of this scientific discipline. I was particularly interested in Object-Oriented Programming. Data Structures, .NET Technology, Analysis of Algorithm, Database Management, Theory of Computation, and Principles of Compiler Design were other areas that captured my attention. In my final year project, I made a Python-based magic mirror. I understand that this project can implement Python and other such technology in routine life.

I have done an internship at [COMPANY_NAME], where I designed and developed the front-end module of an educational website. Through this internship and work experience, I have gained desired exposure to the software industry.

Having acquired a solid foundation in the field of computer science through a rigorous undergraduate program and my various internships in the IT industry, at this point, I feel that it is the right time to take up graduate studies. Due to my passion for the subject, I have learned prototype-based object-oriented language Javascript by myself. I wish to raise my understanding of the nuances of the Computer Science field and use this knowledge to further my chances for a lucrative career in the software industry. Hence I want to apply for MSc in Computer Science at your University.

I believe I have great potential. This master's program is mentored by the finest minds present in the world. My previous knowledge on the topic would help me gain much experience, sharpen my knowledge and add wings to my aspirations. Upon completing the study, I am willing to apply for the computer system analyst post. Then after getting pretty much aware of the managerial process and system work, I want to opt for higher managerial profiles in my field or if I wish to establish a start-up in the technology domain.

The knowledge and experience that I have gained has just given me the taste of computer science but has certainly not abated the crave in me to know the subject in depth. To satisfy my quest for knowledge and specialize in these focus areas, I strongly feel it is the ideal period for me to do my master's in computer science, which has been my goal for a long time. With my confidence, good articulation, and managerial skills, I assure you that complete justice will be done to all the opportunities provided to me, and I will prove to be an invaluable asset to the Department and University as I embark on this enriching journey for knowledge.
