STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

As a creative person, I have always felt that the purpose of one's life is defined by one's willingness to learn and accept new challenges in the pursuit of becoming better. This is an intentional choice that we can all make. With this aim in mind, I decided to pursue the master's programme to better prepare myself for the obstacles I may face as a network professional.

I have always had a strong interest in and fascination with subjects that need an analytical approach. Mathematics has always piqued my interest since elementary school. I completed my matriculation, securing 91.80% with a score of 99 in Maths and 96 in Science from [SCHOOL_NAME] in [CITY], Maharashtra. I completed my senior secondary education in the PCM stream from [COLLEGE_NAME] in [CITY], Maharashtra, securing 88.15% with a score of 96 in Mathematics. Then I decided to pursue a Bachelor of Technology at one of the prestigious colleges in Maharashtra, [UNIVERSITY_NAME]. In my course, I have completed six semesters out of 8, with my current CPI being 7.82. My BTech curriculum contains courses that include Machine Learning, DBMS, Computer Networks, and Operating Systems.

I have always been interested in technology since I was a kid. Because I enjoyed playing video games, I persuaded my father to purchase a computer. However, while I was in high school, I became interested in how computers and the devices they include operate. Then I looked it up on Google and was astounded by the results. I couldn't grasp much of it, but it piqued my interest in software. After high school, I decided to pursue a Bachelor of Information Technology degree, which piqued my interest in programming. As a result, I chose to pursue a Master of Computer Science.

Throughout my school and college years, I have strived to maintain a balance between academics and sports. I was the event planner for the Relay race at [EVENT_NAME], a sports festival held by my college, where I had to maintain discipline and ensure the event ran smoothly. I also volunteered for my college's Alumni Association ([UNIVERSITY_ABBREVIATION]), organizing annual alumni meet with my peers.

During my last three years of college, I worked on various machine learning and web development projects. I used the SVR (Support Vector Regression) model to forecast RUL (remaining useful life). I primarily worked on a research paper to create a Machine Learning model for predicting how long cutting instruments will be functional. There, I collected various features from the provided dataset and constructed an algorithm for RUL prediction using Support Vector Regression. I evaluated the performance of multiple kernels used in SVR and achieved a 75 per cent accuracy rate.

The field of computer science offers a plethora of opportunities for me to express my creative side. This is the faith that has drawn me to the awe-inspiring world of computer science, which is demonstrated by my project called 'DailyNews'. I made a blog website where users may add new blogs, sign up for a newsletter, and contact the site owner. I learned how to connect a MongoDB database to a NodeJS server. For the backend, I learned how to use express.js. ReactJS and JS were used to create the frontend.

The Hospital Recommendation System is another project on which I worked. It was a group project, and we built a web application for hospital referrals utilizing multiple technologies such as Bootstrap for the frontend, Neo4j for the database, the express.js framework for the backend, and Mapbox to visualize data on a map. All of these tasks sharpened my development and data science skills.

[COMPANY_NAME], a subsidiary of [PARENT_COMPANY_NAME], was where I worked as an ML Intern. My internship was there, and I had the opportunity to work on a recommendation system for their application [APPLICATION_NAME]. It was my first time working on an application that actual people would use, so I was both excited and worried, but I could finish it with the help of my colleagues. I gained a valuable understanding of how businesses operate, what they expect of us as employees, and how we should conduct ourselves in the workplace. I was the leader of a five-person team. I had to look at the various machine learning methods for recommendation and develop a hybrid model. I looked at the Keras Neural Network API and did many studies on the well-known wide and deep model.

After that, I worked at [ORGANIZATION_NAME] as a Data Science and Business Analytics Intern. Various responsibilities were allocated to me by the corporation. I used Python and scikit-learn to create and optimize machine learning models. I also used linear regression, k-means clustering, and decision tree models to train and predict classes in machine learning. These encounters provided me with an overview of the major I intend to pursue.

I have a background in computer science and would like to work in the same field because it interests me. I want to be a software engineer or a data scientist to assist businesses in developing high-quality software. In the next five years, I want to go up the corporate ladder in these disciplines. Working on diverse projects and, if feasible, leading a team is how I plan to develop my interest in this subject. By completing this course from [UNIVERSITY_NAME], I want to have gained industry-ready skills and find work in a related profession using the knowledge I will obtain.
