STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Staying abreast of technological advances was one of my favorite things. My interest in Computer Science in the field of Software development and Artificial Intelligence was sparked by the different innovations, which inspired me to pursue a successful career in engineering. I was enthralled by the AI-powered technology behind [COMPANY]'s top-shots function. This function automatically collects stills before and after the shutter button is touched and allows users to choose the best photo. I wish to learn more about the image processing technique used in this creation. Simultaneously, I began to develop an interest in AI and wanted to learn about it, so I picked a Video-Based Sign Language Translation System as my final year project, based on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning that operated under this technology. This project spurred me to learn more about AI. As a result, my passion for the domain and my drive to learn more about computer applications and technologies inspired me to pursue a Master's.

The advancement of technology inspired me to learn about computer technology. Thus, I opted for Computer Science Engineering for my under-graduation course. The program allowed me to understand Data Structures and Algorithms, Database Management systems, Operating Systems, OOPs, Cryptography, Web Development, and Artificial Intelligence. I studied various courses like Ethical Hacking, Core Python programming, Machine Learning, and Data Science to refine my skills. The NPTEL certification course has improved my programming skills in solving real-time challenges. My analytical and practical understanding of computer science and programming were both enhanced by the comprehensive curriculum from the [UNIVERSITY] Data Science course.

The projects like 'Daily Expense Tracker System' where we developed a web-based application on a local server to maintain a digital record of spending. The project provided me with hands-on experience with Database principles, conceptual models, and programming abilities, and exposure to applying the conceptual framework to real-world experiences. Furthermore, as part of my 6-semester academic project, I developed and programmed a Mobile Application in Java. The Attendance Management System project was built using Admin and Faculty logins. This application allows students to keep track of their attendance at a particular institution or college.

According to [COMPANY], there were 1.51 billion breaches of Internet of Things (IoT) devices from January to June this year, up from 639 million in 2020. This incident inspired me to create a solution to the problem. I looked at certain supporting technologies to ensure that tiny IoT devices were secure. As a result of my interest in the IoT and Blockchain areas, I worked on a research topic on the Integration of IoT and Blockchain in which I examined the effects of combining the two technologies. This research provided me with practical experience and exposure in strengthening IoT and Blockchain technologies by putting theoretical principles into practice in world challenges. Subsequently, I worked on a research paper titled Overview of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Blockchain, and Bigdata that emphasizes the importance of each technology and its applications. The research explains the technological advancements when AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, and Bigdata domains were combined for a better lifestyle. The exposure to various technologies inspired me to think out of the box and widened my perspective.

The first exposure to the industry came from my internship at [COMPANY]. I worked on Machine Learning projects on Boston House Prediction, Breast Cancer Prediction and Red Wine Quality Prediction as a research intern and got exposure to numerous Linear Regression and Logistic Regression techniques. This experience boosted my Machine Learning project development skills. My knowledge of Web technologies and Python-libraries applications got broadened during the internship at the Research and Development Wing department on Data Analysis at [COMPANY]. I worked on Terrorism Analysis and Finding Insights. Apart from learning to develop web applications using Dash, I also learned how to integrate Python programming with front-end web applications. As a result of the Data Analysis, I also learned about the management and development of the project.

My areas of interest lie in programming and Artificial Intelligence, as these technologies intrigue me. However, I would like to further sharpen my Programming and AI & ML skills by pursuing an MS program. There have been instances where I have observed that I lacked knowledge and skills in AI and ML. Hence, I wish to fortify my technical skillsets and programming skills by pursuing a Master's degree. I will specialize in Artificial Intelligence and study core courses related to Advanced Algorithms and move forward towards securing my goals.

Post MS, I wish to work as AI Engineer or Software Developer for [COMPANY], [COMPANY], [COMPANY], and [COMPANY]. I wish to build AI models that use machine learning techniques and derive business insights. Subsequently, I would like to develop, design, and test software applications and strategies for better business insights. After five years, I intend to seek and accomplish a career transition from Software Developer to Senior Software Developer in the same companies and undertake leadership roles. In the long run, I aim to establish a company that produces Smart-Baskets. This technology will automate difficult supply chain choices by optimizing strategic sourcing connections and creating innovative consumer experiences that promote satisfaction and boost sales. The MS course will play a crucial role in allowing me to accomplish my goals.

[UNIVERSITY] will educate me on industry-best practices and help me develop my innovation, research, decision-making, and independent judgment skills. The university offers a variety of advanced computer science courses, including AI and Machine Learning courses for scientific discovery, and other advanced algorithm disciplines, which stand out in terms of the flexibility provided. The AI and ML with Algorithms courses will fortify my skills essential for the industry. I am excited to collaborate and perform research with [PROFESSOR]. His scientific accomplishments and study on numerous topics and his research work on 'Phase-Mapper: An AI Platform to Accelerate High Throughput Materials Discovery' that allows humans to interact with both the data and products of AI algorithms is intriguing. In addition, I would wish to undertake research and evaluate the best strategy for improving algorithmic scalability and advancing my learning. I hope to research new Frameworks of AI and Machine Learning under [PROFESSOR] and [PROFESSOR]. As their research work on 'V2W-BERT: A Framework for Effective Hierarchical Multiclass Classification of Software Vulnerabilities' aligns with my interest.
