STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Oblivious to the potency that awaited in the future, it was a thought of the adolescent mind of a 6th grader that 'Everything that can be invented has already been invented' until a new gadget was welcomed in the family - my first computer. It was indeed a wondrous box that broadened my world as I had never imagined. In 2007, I witnessed the birth of another revolution called the iPhone. I am quite thankful for my older siblings as it was because of them I had a chance to look at this little invention which created wonders. I had no idea that this would affect my academic inclination towards smartphones and computers so much that I would soon want to learn everything about them! I was hooked, reading about every little detail on the internet and thinking about the contemporary possibilities of these handheld computers. This was the time when it gradually dawned on me that no, great inventions are yet to change this world, as there are so many ideas waiting to be realized, mysteries waiting to be solved.

Following my interests, I took science as my major in high school. Where I discovered another interest of mine that is Mathematics. I remember those days when I used to solve Mathematics questions day and night. The most prudent thing about it is I admire every branch of it, for instance, Calculus, Algebra, Probability. I completed my 10 + 2 in 2016 with excellent grades. Hence, I decided to do my bachelor's from [UNIVERSITY_1], in Physical sciences. This degree allows the flexibility of a mixed course that involves Computer science, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. College widened my Horizons as I expanded my knowledge further. The first-year modules included understanding many comprehensive proofs and solving problems Calculus related and learning Basic coding of Latex & HTML. In my 2nd year, I explored linear algebra using a computer algebra system throughout the time my final year began and I started learning Software "R" and Network flow problems. Having such a wide field of interest helped me adapt to an ever-changing world. I'm an extrovert and I was very social in my college, made many friends and joined many societies.

Over the years, I have also been involved in varied co-curricular activities. In university, apart from academics and working part-time for my dad to help in his newly set up business, I became the General Secretary of my College society called [SOCIETY_NAME]. I organized events such as Annual lectures, Cultural Fests, Science Quizzing functions, and ensured easy flow of information and provided solutions to individual problems effectively in due time. In fact, during the course of my graduation, I also attended some workshops in the [LABORATORY_NAME] where I learned the basic science of papermaking. As I'm a devotee of nature I collaborated with NGOs to ensure zero paper waste, taking a step to an eco-friendly environment. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the Government of India ordered a Nationwide lockdown and I fully utilized this time and joined some online courses and studied some basic language for helping in my further studies like Python and C++ and learnt about the Basic fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence.

The course I want to pursue is 'Artificial Intelligence'. As [NOTABLE_FIGURE], the British theoretical physicist has said "Artificial Intelligence has the potential to help undo the damage done to the natural world, or eradicate poverty and disease, with every aspect of society being transformed" and I completely agree with this as it is us who ruined the nature and it is our responsibility to renovate nature. Nowadays AI is only in businesses however we need to implement it at the grassroots level of everything. It is for the ultimate career goal a person aims to study and gain knowledge. After gaining a prestigious degree from [UNIVERSITY_2], I see myself working in the field of ANI (Artificial Narrow Intelligence), towards the annihilation of Poverty and disease from the world and to reverse the "transformative change" we've done to nature.

After deep thought, I chose to make the USA as my study destination for many valid reasons. The one that stands out is that the USA is acclaimed to be the best destination for post-graduate studies. Most of the top universities of the world are in the USA which makes it a place conducive for learning. It's a place where the brightest minds from across the world meet and study together. Secondly, studying in a multicultural environment under renowned faculty will make my learning productive, help explore my abilities and hone my skills in a way that is apt for today's competitive workforce. Further, there will be abundant opportunities there to boost my career and the flexibility in education to choose from a myriad of the courses. A degree from the USA is internationally recognized by universities, employers, and government bodies.

My result-oriented philosophy of acquiring moving targets for social upliftment is in tandem with the ethos of the course. Moreover, my value system matches the ethics of [UNIVERSITY_2] as I too uphold the highest standards of integrity. Studying at the university will actualize my potential and will convert me into a strategic asset for the university, the nation, the global community, and humanity at large. Given my aptitude and interests, I advocate myself as a suitable candidate for this course.
