STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Myself, [NAME]. At the moment, fresh forward leaps in invention appear to be endless, and new types of technology are being released every other second. I've always been fascinated by the science of computers and information systems, and have acquired a sharp eye for developing technologies around me. Video games and computers were two things that captivated me as a youngster. The amount of time I spent on games was tremendous, yet playing those games for so long made me think about how games and computer programs are planned, produced, and improved. I was intrigued by computers when I learned I could start creating my own levels for games I enjoyed, and this fascination grew as I took more computer science classes.

Owing to my interest in computers since high school and my inquisitiveness to understand the concepts behind the working of computer applications, I opted for a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering at [UNIVERSITY]. My undergraduate studies gave me exposure to different fields of computer science. I completed courses such as Data Structures and Algorithms, Database and Management Systems, Computer Networks, and Information Security. I also began developing my coding and problem-solving skills through Hackerrank, Leetcode, and Codechef, which helped me discover multiple potential solutions to a given problem in an effective manner.

During my undergraduate studies, my major project was "IoT Data Management using Cloud Computing and Big Data Technologies," which aimed to provide an effective and efficient system to handle, maintain, and process huge amounts of data for various analytical needs. The project leveraged the advantages of creating a system and framework to handle huge data generated using cloud computing and big data technologies like HDFS and Spark, in terms of speed, fault tolerance, and scalability, and compared the results with existing RDBMS systems. I also worked on an application to clear traffic, namely "Traffic Clearance System using IoT and Image Processing," as my mini-project. There were many recorded cases regarding victims' deaths due to late assistance. One of the reasons for late medical assistance is heavy traffic. The main intention of introducing this system was to provide a hassle-free service to emergency vehicles.

After my graduation, I have been working as a Systems Engineer at [COMPANY] for the past twenty-seven months, where I worked on two separate projects. I have acquired a great deal of experience adapting to languages such as Java and Python. My first project was part of [PROJECT_NAME], the B2B commerce platform for tobacco product sales of a leading tobacco PLC. In this project, I mainly worked as an SAP Hybris production support executive for [PROJECT_NAME]. I worked on providing application support for [PROJECT_NAME] sites for four large markets and also worked on modules of SAP Hybris like B2B Units and B2B Customers. This experience has taught me that any technical breakthrough opens the door to more developments, and I intend to continue to contribute to the field through this knowledge.

After my first year at [COMPANY], I decided to move to a different project. I mainly wanted to work on development projects. My second project is part of [PROJECT_NAME]. In this project, I mainly work on [PROJECT_NAME] test automation tools using Java and Python. I work on fixing and addressing the issues seen in [PROJECT_NAME] test automation runs, such as broken builds, build failures, and flaky tests. I have learned that writing industry-accepted code is completely different from the code generally written in undergraduate studies. I was really honored to receive the "On the Spot Award" two times.

While much of my time was consumed by academic engagements, I also managed to partake in some extracurricular events. This gave me an opportunity to test my skills at managing finances and promoting events. I even presented a paper on "Blockchain and Its Advantages." I was the event manager for [EVENT_NAME] technical fest at my college, where I organized a quiz contest. In conclusion, to take my career in the computer science field to the next level, I will need to deepen my understanding of systems architecture as well as hardware limitations to current development platforms.
