STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

With the changing face of technology and global uncertainties in the post pandemic world, the working structures around the world has changed drastically, and all of it could have been possible with the help of cloud computing and cybersecurity advancements. The IT services and their delivery methods to the end user has increased multifold and continues to expand till date. Working in [COMPANY_NAME], world's top leader in Global IT & Tech solutions, gave me an opportunity to learn a great deal of IT Solutions, cloud computing and a glimpse of emerging solutions in cybersecurity.

Computers and new technology used to amaze since childhood. I used to wonder how these work as I witnessed an era of change in technology, from keypad mobile phones to smartphones, from desktops to portable laptops and now in this pandemic, the modern ways of working and swift entry of digitalisation in our lives.

In all these transitions, the most fascinating subject for me is cloud computing and cybersecurity, the idea of moving data to the cloud and its accessibility over the internet from anywhere in the world, like the entire world is within your reach. The computation power gets increased on the same hardware, all that's needed is just a stable internet connection. Also, with the advent of online data storage, its security becomes crucial more than ever, thus comes the need of cybersecurity. With hands-on experience in IT and a world class skill-set in cybersecurity and cloud computing will provide a direct boost to my career growth. That's why I'm looking forward for this course from your esteemed university.

I belong to a joint family, the eldest of the siblings, and the only one in the relatives who completed engineering. From childhood, I was always passionate to do things differently, and to make a difference to the lives around me. I chose discovery channel over cartoon network, motivational books over wasting time and basic programming over cricket. I was always attracted towards science and mathematics, thus opted science stream in my 12th Grade, and scored 91/100 marks in mathematics. My overall percentage was 88% in PCM (Physics, chemistry, mathematics).

I always wanted a good college for my engineering, but due to the financial conditions of my family, it was a herculean task for me to afford the high expenses for my dream education.

So, I planned to appear for competition exams to secure a scholarship for my dream education. Also, I started giving coaching classes to high school students, along with preparing for entrance examinations to support my expenses. After a whole year of hard work I finally succeeded in scoring a top rank to get a scholarship for my Bachelors of technology from [UNIVERSITY_NAME]. It was such an amazing moment for me realizing that I'll now be able to start with college and do some justice to the hardships faced by my parents by financially supporting them once I graduate.

Initially before going to college I always used to like cars and machines, I was doing fine with it. But in college, when I studied C programming for the first time, it suddenly caught my interest in computers and technology. Inadvertently I was thrown into the world of computers, software, networks, servers, etc. It's like I just explored a different world, and this desire to deep dive into it was driving me to absorb this knowledge from anywhere and everywhere.

Somehow, I just wanted to be a part of this world and to apply my learnings in a real time situation, I knew I had to enter the corporate world soon. So, I talked with my professors, went to the placement cell to get to know about the process and what are the skills and knowledge I should accumulate to get a job in the IT sector. They shared very useful information with me and even guided me with eligibility criteria and basic knowledge to get selected in the interviews. That was the day in my second year when I decided to get myself prepared for it and achieve it. After all the time of studying and learning from every possible source and giving home tuitions to school students for my college expenses, and being consistent with my dream of getting a job in MNC to explore and experience the global technologies and working in it. Finally comes the day when placement starts and interviews happen, recruitment starts and we all students are prepared. My mentors in college suggested to me names of companies that I should target to be placed in. And one of them is [COMPANY_NAME], and I'm blessed and proud of myself that I pulled through this and luckily got placed in it.

But, destiny wanted something else, and that is Covid-19 pandemic. It's a global problem which affects the whole world and so does my journey. Our joining in [COMPANY_NAME] got delayed, in the meanwhile I worked in some other industries to gain some exposure and help the family as well.

Although we all faced that and experienced that, luckily in the end we got our joining call for [COMPANY_NAME]. I said a big yes and joined on November 2020. When I join, I'll need to work hard to polish my skills day-by-day and learn new technologies to excel in my career. So, I started learning along with my job, went through so much training and got an opportunity from the company itself to get a certificate in AZ-900. I learned, studied and eventually I got Microsoft certified AZ-900 course completion certificate.

Now, I want to polish myself more and give a boost to my career trajectory. That's why I need to pursue higher studies and return back to my current organization in a better and experienced role. With a better profile and added responsibility, I can continue to make better technical and managerial decisions in the related field of study. With the many networking opportunities in the UK, I will keep myself abreast with globally emerging tech and continue to contribute to my organization's strategy and success at a global level. The small class size, and the unique facilities offered by your university also convinces me of my excellent learning here. Studying at your University will give me the chance of selecting subjects of my choice and according to my area of interest, thus greatly improving my chances of performing well in the course and paving way for a successful career in the field.
