# Reasons Towards Interest in Computer Science

When I was in my first year at my graduation, I came across the C language. It is the first step that started my interest in coding. During my 6th semester, there was a laboratory named Computer Programming in Civil Engineering, which improved my interest further in computer science. During this lab, I learned C++ and MS Excel. In the 7th semester, I came across Remote Sensing and GIS, CAD and Design of Structures, and Computer-Aided Detailing of Structures which laid good interest in coding. In last semester I learned Primavera software and ETABS. I had good mathematical skills in differentiation, integration and statistics.

After completion of my graduate degree, I started learning other programming languages like Java and Python. Computer Science, as I believe, is the only field where one's work can be seen and felt directly by the senses, and anything done stays forever to the credit. I feel that this is the field which requires a lot of patience, perseverance, and management skills to be successful. These are qualities which need to be nurtured with a lot of motivation and hard work, and my college proved to be a right place for this objective. This field delighted me with its ever-challenging nature and never-ending applications. After completion of bachelor's degree, I found that I must gain more knowledge than what I learned at my bachelor's degree.

My immediate career objective is a master's degree in Computer Science followed by a research-oriented career in industry or academia. The choice of a good university with a faculty dedicated to teaching and research and an atmosphere conducive to learning, thus becomes extremely necessary.
