Music is a hobby of mine that led me to discovering wondrous opportunities. I remember being enamoured by the musical notes from the iPad's iTabla Pro, a musical application that created Tabla notes. This was my first encounter with a unique innovation. It was interesting to witness this advancement and this is what led me to develop an inclination towards software development. Opting for a Bachelor's of Technology in Information Science was a natural transition which I owe to my intriguing interest in understanding the nitty-gritty of this world. Pursuing my degree from [UNIVERSITY NAME], [CITY], allowed me to firm my foundation in the areas of Software Engineering, Database Management Systems, AI and ML, and Web Development. The intricacies of these subjects not only kept me hooked but intrigued me to understand their depths. While the theoretical purview of these subjects had me develop my knowledge base, it was the projects that I took up that enabled my technical skills by allowing me to test my theoretical concepts. The first project that I took up was developing a stock exchange website where the prices of stocks using charts were displayed in real-time. The key skills included here were ReactJS, API, Charts, Firebase and the project, spanning over a month, proved to be a key learning experience.

For my next project, I created a social service website for an NGO, and for another one, I created an iTunes search and play option from the iTunes library on the website. Using API, ReactJS, and Firebase these tasks were successfully completed. To further gain some hands-on experience, I took up numerous internships. An internship with [COMPANY NAME] had me work as a Frontend Web Developer while also implementing the admin panel for this company. I also worked with [COMPANY NAME] as a Frontend Web Developer where I designed the overall look and feel of the website and developed the majority of frontend features for the project titled '[PROJECT NAME]'. Another internship with [COMPANY NAME] gave me the opportunity to work as a Full Stack Web Developer wherein I implemented a cashback system, integrated payment gateways including creating recharge and payments sections and worked on a full-fledged e-travel website. Through my stint within the industry, I have grasped the intricacies of the modern-day work dynamic of the technology industry only with a desire to delve deeper into their depths.

Some work experience and an extensive education have led to the development of my cognitive abilities, but it is the activities outside of these four walls that I have taken up that have contributed to my holistic development. Classical music is something that I have a special knack for and this led me to win six National Awards in the Indian Classical Music Harmonium category. I have been part of various clubs and committees during my college which has imbibed in me the skills of teamwork, leadership and planning. By volunteering for '[ORGANIZATION NAME]', an NGO, I have been able to complement my innate sentiment of serving society. I also supported primary level students of government schools in online teaching and crowd-funded INR 20,000 for providing gadgets to continue the education of economically weaker students during the pandemic. Now that I shed light upon my goals, I realize how far I have come. From understanding the how's and why's of a computer system to developing a strong aptitude for programming, this journey has been rewarding in numerous ways. I am enthusiastic to work with a desired organization wherein I can utilize the prowess of computer science to achieve organizational objectives. The idea is to gain expertise, acquire new technical abilities that allow me to gain an edge in the marketplace and contribute to the development of emerging technologies such as AI. All of these would be achieved through an MS in CS, a degree that would be the right successor to my experiences and education.

The idea is to push myself out of the boundaries and gain an international exposure and there is no better country than Canada to gain a practical and industry-centred education. Furthermore, budding professionals in the field of technology are high in number in Canada and this ensures a sound exchange of technical ideas. With the programs being comprehensive and research-driven, I am confident of utilizing the international opportunities to their very core.
