STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

"The expert in anything was once a beginner" and the most important thing is never to stop questioning—these are the two beliefs I have lived by. During the pandemic, I witnessed my toddler nephew questioning everything he would see and meticulously observing everything around him. Once, he was playing and said "Alexa, play baby shark," and questioned curiously, "How does this play whichever song we ask?" At that moment, despite my knowledge about technology, I decided to learn more about these innovations. My keen interest in the fast-growing technologies and digitalization around me has been a driving force behind my passion for computer science. I have always been inquisitive about science and fascinated by the world's innovations. I thrived to understand the scientific reason behind each innovation and how it must have been created. I always believed in the quote, "To learn something new is to grow," and ensured I implemented it wherever I went. The joy of finding answers behind a personal interest is supreme, and I decided not to suppress this talent and keep learning, even if it meant asking the silliest questions.

I gained confidence in myself when my hard work reflected in my marks. The board marks in my 10th grade turned out to be one such appreciation for me when I got 91 marks in science and 95 in mathematics. I became very enthusiastic about these subjects and opted for a science major in my 12th. Being a science fanatic, I was one of the 26 students from the city who cleared the JEE and one of the few college students clearing the NEET examination, which is considered one of the most arduous exams in the country. I have also been inclined towards extra-curricular activities and was the only girl in school in the band. I have also been the Vice President of the [ORGANIZATION_NAME], which was the school club and possessed the motive of helping the economically weak by giving them some essentials, like sewing machines for their living. We visited some nursing homes to help the aged ones and also to understand their importance at home. We also organized some events at the club. Other than this, I have participated in the National Theatre Fest in [STATE] and [STATE] that helped me cultivate discipline in life, ethics, and liveliness.

My special interest in Mathematics and Science made me opt for Engineering for my under-graduation program. I was surprised to learn how a computer program is converted into binary digits and how these inputs are computed to get the desired output. My desire to learn more about this technology made me choose Electronics and Communication Engineering as a major in college over Computer Science. During one of the IoT competitions during my college days, I realized my liking towards the Computer Science stream. Hence, I initiated my learning process and enrolled in a C++ course, an elective given by the college, that deepened further when I took up the Python course on [ONLINE_PLATFORM] offered by [UNIVERSITY_NAME]. I felt like the discovery of my inner interest in Coding and Computer Science gave me a platform for my creativity in programming languages. My first hands-on experience was during the mini project in my 3rd year where I dealt with the project called "Cloud-based Smart Healthcare Management using Blue Eyes Technology," which helped me gain hands-on experience and cooperate with my friends from the computer science department. I interned at [COMPANY_NAME], a startup where I was working on android application development testing and bug tracking. During my final year project, I chose to handle the programming part for our project called "Ceiling Fan with Suicide Protection." For this project, I was elated to get the output of my code, all from my efforts. I can affirm that the pandemic has served as a blessing in disguise in my learning tenure.

In a computerized competitive world where kids are turning out to be specialized programmers, I need to acquire special skills training which is much better than the basics, so as to get into leading institutions and excel in the domain that I am looking forward to. A Master's program acts as a catalyst in making my dreams a reality and accomplishing my goals. The EQUIP project undertaken by [UNIVERSITY_NAME] in partnership with [COMPANY_NAME] and [ORGANIZATION_NAME], which helps students access innovative and high-quality education, attracted me the most. The infrastructure of the university, diversity of students on the campus, and world-class available research opportunities are the assets I was impressed about.
