Statement of Purpose

My interest in computers goes back to my childhood years when I would occasionally visit my father or mother's office. Seeing them use computers at their office intrigued me and that was the beginning of my interest in this field. Later, when I got my own personal computer, I would often spend a considerable amount of time exploring it. This was much before the internet had made a foray into Indian homes and all I had were a few games saved on our home computer. And I would inadvertently find myself drifting towards the computers whenever I had time. The problem-solving skills, sequencing, and looping benefits that these games taught me played a substantial role in laying the building blocks of my interest in computers and everything related to it.

Today, such is my interest in the field of computers that it motivates me to apply to the MS in CSE program of [UNIVERSITY]. I aim to become a programmer and software designer who can incorporate the most up-to-date development protocols. My dream firms are [COMPANY_1] or [COMPANY_2]. As a Software designer, I would identify, design, install as well as test a software system that I will build. I also look forward to determining the purpose and specification of the software, designing and writing codes for software and OS, and ensuring that these meet the particular needs that are specified. In the long term, I wish to rise up the career ladder and become the Head of the Engineering vertical of the firm I am associated with.

My interest in computers was the reason I opted to pursue a Diploma in the field right after secondary school. I went on to pass the Diploma with a CGPA of 9.50 and joined a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering program where I maintained my excellent grades - thus proving my interest as well as aptitude in the field of computer science. I found studying subjects like Computer programming, computation theory, Software framework, and Data Structures extremely interesting and it motivated me to study the subjects in greater depth.

I not only got to study under some of the best names in the industry but also got to participate in multiple projects, all of which had the cumulative effect of making me more determined to further study this subject. My project "Course-based e-learning" was based on the e-learning course where the university can upload the particular course for the particular batch, the faculty can upload their pre-recorded video and students can complete the course. For this project, we used Flutter and MongoDB. As the modules are developed, the modules feed page and the API connection to the cloud binary link. My second project "Talent hunt" was a replica of the LinkedIn platform. This project was made using technology reactjs and PostgreSQL working as the API connecting and the module development. I have also worked on a Cloud-based bus pass system project. This project's objective was to make the process of generating a bus pass easy for regular traveling. We used AWS cloud using the service of S3 bucket to store the large deployment over the site rendering. For this project, I worked as the backend developer and as a group leader too. I have worked on an individual project on "Online marketing for brass industries" that tried to connect the worldwide dealers so they can easily buy the products or showcase their products in a customized way. For this, I used PHP and MySQL. My team projects not only sharpened my technical skills but also helped me build on my problem-solving skills, team skills, and leadership skills. Being a confident speaker, I was always chosen by my teammates to present the projects and this further helped me build on my public speaking skills.

My projects motivated me to further my practical knowledge and I went on to intern with [COMPANY]. Here, I worked on a Live project task management system. Leading a group of 3, I worked on a web application over the intranet and was able to successfully deliver the task on time. I am currently working on a review paper (application-based) "Conversational AI-A survey and Taxonomy". This paper discussed the different domain uses of conversational AI and also the benchmark and the future enhancement of conversational AI in the marketplace and also in the top international journal. I have always been keen on learning software development and accordingly learned a lot of technologies that supported my interest.

All throughout my undergraduate study, I was convinced that I would ultimately go on to research in the field of computer science and hence I now aspire to pursue a Master's in Computer Science Engineering from a globally recognized and reputed University and thus my application to the [UNIVERSITY].
