Statement of Purpose

The fundamental design and working of technology have always intrigued me. As a child, I'd constantly pester my parents with questions about how a specific piece of technology functioned or why a physical phenomenon happened. The advancement and evolution of technology excited me. Getting my hands on new pieces of technology and systems, learning their hows and whys, and operating them made me ecstatic. My curiosity and inquisitiveness are what encouraged me to pursue engineering. I believe that technology is created by people, for people. The primary objective of any kind of machinery or computer system is to make life easier and more comfortable for people.

I acquired my Bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering from [UNIVERSITY NAME], [CITY], with an aggregate of 80.60%. It was during my undergraduate that I was introduced to analog transmissions, basic electronics, microprocessors, solid-state devices, digital and analog communication, complex integrated circuits, satellite communication, and more. I was also given the opportunity to inculcate soft skills such as time management, project management, interpersonal skills, and effective leadership. Moreover, I was exposed to a variety of hybrid subjects, which will surely prove helpful in my future educational as well as professional ventures. I was educated about microelectromechanical systems, material science, electric power utilization, and illumination, etc. The [UNIVERSITY NAME] hyperloop, a multi-disciplinary club where I was a member, infused ideas and information pitched by varying technical departments in me. The club was a juncture where everyone brainstormed, designed, and developed effective models and concepts.

My passion for technological evolution, accompanied by my soft skills, makes me much more suitable for a managerial role rather than a technical one. Furthermore, I am amiable and in possession of strong leadership skills along with a problem-solving aptitude necessary for management roles. Therefore, I wish to take the next step in my career by pursuing a Master's in Engineering Management. I see myself initiating, coordinating, and developing dynamic interdisciplinary engineering projects while simultaneously leading the technical staff.

The industrial training and internships undertaken by me during my semester break aided me with the exposure necessary to recognize and appreciate industry-size production processes and public operation. [COMPANY NAME], [CITY], produces automated control panels. I joined [COMPANY NAME] to familiarise myself with the automation industry. The internship advanced my knowledge with regard to design code, manufacturing, human-machine interface (HMI), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA). [COMPANY NAME], [CITY], was another internship opportunity that came my way. My principal assignment at [COMPANY NAME] was to develop a test system that would be employed to evaluate MMSC and MMI controllers. Subjected to the field of Avionics, I amassed knowledge about the maintenance and overhauling of helicopters and systems associated with it.

Presently I am employed at [COMPANY NAME] as an infrastructure support engineer. I have been working for the organization for a year now. My tasks are to support cloud objects, both Azure as well as AWS, and to resolve any technical error that might occur. My job, though highly demanding, has been an exceptional experience. It requires me to be on top of my game at all times. I have been able to understand IT better infrastructure while participating in multiple teams and completing projects before the deadline. I have been fortunate enough to have leaders and mentors that have taken the time to guide us through our challenges while maintaining a healthy, encouraging, and competitive work environment.

Alongside my academic projects, I have also successfully balanced several extracurricular activities to enable a more comprehensive form of development. During my undergraduate, I wholeheartedly participated in the Mechatronics and Avionic Clubs. This helped me enhance my comprehension of mechanical control systems and electronic actuation. I built a few fully operational models of aircraft based on principles of propulsion. During college events, I was the designated financial manager, responsible for collecting and delegating the funds, contacting sponsors, and leading the volunteers. This is where I initially recognized and acknowledged my skill for leading and managing. These roles and opportunities inculcated an elevated sense of responsibility and prepared me for my future ventures.

Equipped with skills, information and experience garnered during my post-graduation, I aspire to work for an MNC. After further enhancing my technical and managerial skills, I aspire to start my own company someday. My Master's will support my entrepreneurial ideas and help me analyze and resolve the needs of the people. I hope that my products and services will help people in need.

Combining my proficiency and experience with my adoration for management and the analytical side of things, I believe I would auspiciously solve technical and socio-technical problems, lead the technical staff, foster in people a sense of motivation and diligence, and seamlessly manage technical projects in the face of uncertainty and obstacles. I am certain the relevant exposure acquired by me in my career so far will be of paramount importance during my Master's. I bring with me the dedication, passion, and commitment essential for a competent university such as yours. My unwavering hard work, consistent performance, effective communication, and leadership skills will undoubtedly accomplish successful outcomes. I intend to diligently attend and participate in every lecture, project, and assignment to avail the learning opportunities provided to me.
