When I was in 10th grade, my uncle stayed with us to complete his project in an electronics company that is close to my house. He constantly talked about integrated circuits and the process of fabricating millions of logic gates into a tiny chip to function such fantastic inventions. Though the technology was beyond my intellectual capabilities, it fascinated and triggered me to know on how integrated circuits and electronic gadgets are designed. This zeal intended me to pursue a profession within the area of Electronics. My next move was to get an undergrad admission in a well-known university with desirable resources and apply to the branch of electronics engineering. I worked hard to clear various entrance exams and successfully secured admission to a four-year undergrad course in Electronics and Communication Engineering in [COLLEGE_NAME], which is the most disciplined and revered college affiliated to [UNIVERSITY_NAME].
I have started my journey in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering in June 2015. I was exposed to several interesting core subjects namely Digital Electronics, Electronic Circuits, Electronic devices, VLSI Design, Signals and Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Medical Electronics, and Embedded Systems. While learning in-depth about Digital Electronics for example how the basic logic gates are used to create a combinational logic, I was interested to know further in detail about how these combinational logic and sequential elements are combined to design an Integrated circuit that performs its specific function when electric supply is given to the circuit. I have studied in good detail about the mentioned core subjects and applied the theoretical knowledge during lab sessions in simulation packages like Xilinx ISE, TANNER, MATLAB which indeed helped me in developing my practical hands-on experience in using EDA tools. Furthermore, I am an intermediate programmer in computer languages C, C++.
Using my keen interest in electronics, I took opportunity to present various papers, seminars and completed projects related to it. To enhance my knowledge, I have undergone various In-plant trainings and got recognized for my impressive work. Coming to my academic achievements, I have secured first place in paper presentation in the event "[EVENT_NAME]" conducted by "[COLLEGE_NAME]" on the topic "Applications of IOT" and my thesis got selected as the top 10 papers in the event "[EVENT_NAME]" conducted by "[DEPARTMENT_NAME]". One of the greatest opportunities I have acquired is to undergo in-plant training at the "[INSTITUTE_NAME]". Where I interacted with scientists and was exposed to various novel automation systems, machine vision systems for social needs, DSP and FPGA lab. This provided me strong knowledge, hands-on experience and various factors which need to be considered while designing and testing a device or system. To enlarge my practical skills in various domains, I have completed vocational industrial training on "Long Distance Communication and Network Concept, IP Addressing and Router Configuration" conducted by [ORGANIZATION_NAME] and also participated in Industrial training on "Applications of IOT" conducted by [COMPANY_NAME].
My undergraduate program was a judicious mix of theoretical and practical knowledge. Interesting and challenging topics instilled in me, confidence and an urge to seek knowledge beyond the realm of my syllabus. Due to strong affiliation for VLSI Design, I have done project on "Design of Area-Efficient and Highly Reliable RHBD 10 T Memory Cell for Aerospace Applications" using TANNER EDA tool, where I have worked round the clock to complete my project successfully. This project demanded several designing skills and encouraged working in collaboration where I have received good exposure to EDA technology and got opportunity to refine and enhance my interpersonal, multitasking, time management and productive skills. In addition to that, I secured an aggregate of 8.88 CGPA in my undergrad course and stood among the top 1% of students in my department.
Apart from my academic achievements, I have been the class representative throughout my undergrad course. In the second year, I have joined IETE (The Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers) forum and volunteered as an active organizer. We have collectively organized more than 25 events including technical events like Project Expos, Paper presentation, Building Circuits, Robotics competition and non-technical events. As a core organizing committee, we have also organized a workshop on Robotics. All these events eventually developed my managerial skills, soft skills and leadership skills. In my final year of undergrad, I was awarded as an "Eminent Organizer" as I have impressed my staff, students with my organizing skills and also mentored juniors in my department by providing information on various fields in ECE to help them choose right career path.
With all these skills I got placed in 5 Multi-National Companies and I opted for an internship at [COMPANY_NAME] in VLSI domain where I had other offers as Engineer in Embedded, IT Services.
