Statement of Purpose

Technological progressions today are transforming human lives in leaps and bounds over all aspects. From the everyday chores of life to the functioning of giant multinational corporations, our lives are inextricably linked with computers. I have been very ardent to learn about technology since my high school days. The subject is the vision I had, the fascination in me and the long term aspiration that had lingered in me for a long while. The deep interest directly influenced my decision to choose Bachelor's in Technology ECE as my undergrad studies.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Technology ECE from [UNIVERSITY NAME]. During my bachelor's program, I have learned subjects like computer fundamentals, introduction to programming networking, digital computer fundamentals, content management & data analysis, Object programming, Computational mathematics, programming languages, software testing, etc. Apart from academics, I was also involved in extracurricular activities, from being a captain of the University Tennis Team that includes students from each of the six colleges that come under the university. Being a General Secretary of a university social club and even presenting a research paper at an international conference was later selected among the best papers to publish to [PUBLISHER NAME].

I did my Engineering in ECE, but since college, I have been more inclined towards IT. Even my summer internship was focused on how we can use technology to improve the manufacturing ecosystem. Also, in my current firm I see people struggle with this new upcoming area such as big data and Operational research. There is a visible curtailment of proficient workers in these domains. I want to fill this gap by obtaining high-quality education in this field. Hence I want to pursue MSc in Big Data Analytics program. Being a part of this degree program will give me a deeper understanding of the software and information technology advancements being made around the world.

To better understand the role of data analysts and be more technologically robust, I have completed various online courses. Even, I have cleared the [CERTIFICATION EXAM] exam and obtained external data analyst certification from [COMPANY NAME], and I'm now a "[CERTIFICATION TITLE]." Also, I have attended '[COMPANY NAME] Virtual Internship Program,' where I had gained enviable insight into what it is like to be a technology consultant and solve meaningful challenges. MSc in analytics data course will teach me modules like extensive data management, data mining, web social media analytics, and even a solo master project is included in the syllabus where I will undertake sustained and in-depth research on the subject.

I have a strong affinity for information technology. Post my Master's, and I want to be in a field responsible for providing technical solutions to business and economic problems. I will be eyeing a role such as an Analyst in top multinational firms. MS degree is imperative because I want to develop the necessary skills to exploit big data tools and methods to drive innovation and growth in modern global organizations and society. In the long term, I want to be a Data analytics expert, where I can use my ability to understand data insights to solve complex business problems. I want to use my expertise to build efficient models with minimal to no-risk factors using relevant data extracted from the extensive source material.

[UNIVERSITY NAME] is my first choice to pursue my Master's studies. The prominent uniqueness I found here is a research study is being included in the course curriculum itself. I will be able to evaluate my skills and knowledge gained from the course through this project. The modules will provide me with a deeper insight into my niche. Moreover, they carry an enviable reputation in providing quality, student-centric education in a professional and friendly environment.

I am a techno-savvy person and have a keen social consciousness, and I want to also look at solving real-world problems that affect humans on a day-to-day basis. I'm looking to utilize the profile to enhance my knowledge and expertise in the subject. I hope to use the opportunity to stay up-to-date on the latest advances in the field and make attempts to contribute to the same. I assure you to be an asset to the university.
