I am blessed with a family of five members. My father is a businessman, my mother also helps him in his business. They all have been an important part of my life and have encouraged me much to take this step.

I did my Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) from [UNIVERSITY], [CITY], India. I received my degree in August 2021. From girlhood, my interests have continuously revolved around art, design, structures, buildings, facades and how these things came to be. I grew to be fascinated by art and architectural marvels. My interest for spreading my knowledge of creativity from a very young age led me to pick out Architecture as my field of higher studies because it's a very creative profession, plus the fact that you could have something that you've designed realized in real life. So, right from then, I knew what my career path would look like.

My interest in construction management was sparked by topics such as construction principles, design of concrete structures and behavior of materials introduced to me in 3rd semester of architecture. Participation in trainings gave me a glimpse of the challenges one may face while working in this dynamic sector. The curriculum of architecture exposed me to various parts of construction industry and helped me broaden my horizon. I continuously emphasize on the practical aspects of the subjects and enjoy a lot on project sites. The topics which I thoroughly enjoyed were Design, Construction, Building Services, Building Management, Estimating and Costing, Site Survey, Building Materials, and Specification of Works.

Additionally, I can confidently use software like AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Lumion and Photoshop.

During my professional training in fifth year of my studies, I worked under the guidance of a celebrated architect which gave me the primary insight into corporate Architecture. I had done various tasks ranging from drafting, designing and site supervising. There I noticed that construction field tests my brains with a different level of questions each day. Every passing day brought in additional opportunities to learn, explore, and stretch my capability to work and on top of that it involves a lot of fieldwork. I noticed the importance of management in the process of construction.

My education as an architect is helping me to deal solely with the designing aspect of the process of construction of a building and once it involves management, I realized my education is insufficient. And here I felt the necessity to become a construction manager. I noticed that a construction manager had to be 'a master of all' kind of person and parallel to it should possess core knowledge of management. In my opinion this course will broaden my perspective of multi-functional aspects of construction business, contract management, project planning, cost and quality control and related subjects, and equip myself with the knowledge and skills to exercise higher supervisory responsibilities with success. Moreover, the need of administrative positions in construction industry is at a steep rise, which reinforces my decision to pursue a career in construction management.

My undergraduate studies have flourished my interest in construction field. A master's program from your university would help me in increasing my technical understanding of the subject and in widening my perspective of life. I would like to accumulate practical information and knowledge about the newest techniques in construction field and apply them for the betterment. The well-designed course along with extremely qualified and experienced faculty will be an ideal environment and platform for achieving my goals.
