Statement of Purpose

"Computer Science is nothing more about computers than astronomy's about telescopes." Rising from a middle-class background, my relatives have been my role model to pursue higher education. Technology leads us to possibilities that we thought were impossible. Breakthroughs in technology seem unending, and innovations are coming out every second. My obsession with technology compels and attracts me to learn everything conceivable. I am ardent to learn and delve deeper into their various applications. Driven by my passion, I have decided to obtain a Master's degree in Computer Science to contribute to the vast ocean of technology, explore and discover new things in my niche.

After completing my SSC with a 9.5 CGPA and my plus-two level with an 86.6% score, I attempted for National Defence Academy Examinations repeatedly but was denied a seat. After a devastating accident in which my collar bone got fractured and dislocated, I was left with no option but to quit my defence ambition. However, life had planned something different for me.

Though I graduated in Civil Engineering with a 71.2% score, the COVID-19 pandemic drastically turned my inclination towards technology. I realized my fervor in Computer Applications and enrolled in the Full Stack Web Development Course, a one-year certification course. In Computer Science, courses that piqued my interest included Computational Thinking, Fundamentals of Programming, Algorithms, Data Structures and Programming, Software Engineering, and Distributed and Cloud Computing.

In my project, I developed a responsive website for Food Store where users can see a list of food items, detailed information about a food item, and offers. I designed page following HTML structure elements like li, header, article, footer elements, and bootstrap components to show different sections in the website and different bootstrap classes for responsiveness through mobile-first approach, implemented product youtube videos by using bootstrap embed and model components, animations with CSS and JavaScript. I learned to build a Front-End part of the website practically de novo. It took time and perseverance but was at the same time enjoyable.

Though my path towards success was rough and challenging, I kept accelerating and gradually improved my logical thinking. I started grasping concepts quickly and understanding complex topics lucidly. I have earned my expertise in HTML, CSS, BOOTSTRAP, JAVASCRIPT, REACT JS, Backend Technologies like NODE JS, EXPRESS JS, PYTHON, and Database Technologies like SQL, MongoDB, and am also familiar with Git and GitHub.

Besides my academics, I was prized in the symposium held by [UNIVERSITY_NAME], [CITY_NAME] on Water Conservation Techniques. I was the only student awarded this special prize for organizing, presenting, and delivering the topic. I was appreciated by the chancellor and the principal of my college. With outstanding communication skills, I was the winner for three years in the elocution competition held in my college. I love cycling, trekking and am a team player in badminton. I had volunteered for the Flood Relief program in Kerala, Financial Literacy program, Job Mela, and Pollution Awareness campaign held in my college.

An MS in Computer Science will help me build strong foundations in Computational Thinking, Algorithms, and Data Structures. It will enable me to develop a comprehensive understanding of approaches, methods, tools, and techniques necessary for efficient and effective research in Computer Science and related areas. It renders me an opportunity to develop confidence and independence in researching, enhance investigative and problem-solving, and demonstrate the ability to undertake a substantial computing project. It will develop my professional, interpersonal, and Management skills by interacting with the industry's best minds.

With the confidence and competence in my desired field, I firmly believe that a Master's degree at this juncture would give me the necessary thrust and momentum to hasten my steps towards my aspired career. Determined to reach heights, I started exploring opportunities for my Master's degree in the UK. The country has developed and established itself as a perfect destination for computer science education with its state-of-the-art academic and research facilities. Over decades, it has attracted millions of students globally for its warm culture, student-friendly atmosphere, technological advancements, and community activities.

The country will allow me to interact with the startups and gain insights. I aim to build my startup in my home country and serve my community with my adroitness.
