In the complex and interconnected world of international business, the science of Information Management (IM) is becoming increasingly important. I have a solid academic foundation and an aptitude to make a career in this field from a young age. Furthermore, I wish to make a successful professional career in this field. I believe a Masters in Business Analytics at the University will enable me to achieve this aspiration of mine.

I have had a great privilege to receive education at one of the world's largest chains of schools, [SCHOOL_NAME], India. This provided me with an excellent academic foundation and helped me develop a multifaceted personality. During high school, my keen interest in logically oriented subjects led me to take up Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as my major subjects with Computer Science as an elective subject. In my XII Grade (A Level equivalent), I learned computer languages such as C/C++ and HTML, which are used in various programs and real-time projects. I was amazed by the potential of the computer science stream. During my board examinations in high school (Class X, GCSE equivalent), I scored 8.8 CGPA, and in Class XII (A Level equivalent), I scored 78%.

I chose Computer Science for my undergraduate degree at [UNIVERSITY_NAME], India. I was excited by the diversity of the field in Computer Science Engineering. During the first three years of my bachelor program, modules that interested me most were Networking (comprising Computations), Programming Languages (C, HTML, Python, PHP, JavaScript, etc.), and Computer Software (Turbo C, Eclipse, IDLE, XAMPP). This helped me establish a good foundation in my degree education. Moreover, courses like Operating System, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Web Technology, and Data Communication helped me understand how the concepts of computers are applied to practical systems in day-to-day life. Furthermore, I had management courses such as Operational Research, Management, and Entrepreneurship, which I found to be insightful. Unfortunately, during my second year of studies, I was diagnosed with Typhoid disease, which deteriorated my health and overall wellbeing. In spite of this, I managed to persevere and continued with my studies.

As part of my degree, I have worked on several diverse projects including Daily Expenses Calculator, Gym Database System, and Online Paying Guest Accommodation Management System. These projects taught me Conception, Initiation, Strategic Planning, Performance Monitoring, Risk Management, and Data Management skills. Currently, my teammates and I are working on a major project titled "Water Leakage Detection in Underground Pipelines Using IoT," which uses components such as water flow sensors, cloud computing, power supply, LCD monitor, and NodeMCU. The water flow sensors are placed along the pipes in areas where leakages are most likely to happen. If the sensors detect a leak in the pipeline, they send a signal to the cloud for computing, and the signal is then passed to a device that displays an alert message informing that there is a leakage in the pipeline at a particular area. This project will benefit regular water supply, improve overall efficiency, create a better ecological footprint, reduce maintenance costs, and enable less time-consuming repairs. We submitted this idea to the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Department of Science & Technology (DST), and [ORGANIZATION_NAME] 2019. We reached the semi-finals, and our team was awarded funds for the components and prize money.

During my university vacation break in 2019, I completed a 4-week internship program at [COMPANY_NAME], a start-up company that provides IT solutions to clients including website and application design and development. As a member of the Web Designing team, I interacted with clients from planning to completion of their websites. This was a valuable industry experience as I developed a website called [WEBSITE_NAME], which is a digital logbook and contact manager for a global networker.

Along with my studies at school and university, I have participated keenly in many extra-curricular activities. I have won several medals in swimming competitions at the regional, state, and national levels. Most valuable of them was participation at the national level swimming competition for two years consecutively (2011 & 2012). I have also earned a certificate from Guinness World Records for taking part in the Global Rotary Swim Marathon, which was held to promote the eradication of polio disease in India. I participated in the Open Sea Swimming Competition (2012) at [LOCATION], and achieved 10th rank out of 100 participants in the 5km race. Swimming has been very important to my life, instilling key values of discipline, hard work, and sportsmanship in me. I was awarded the 'Best Athlete' award (2012) from my school for my achievements.

Currently, I have the opportunity to work at [COMPANY_NAME], the world's leading advertisement and media investment company, as a Biddable Media Executive. I started as an intern in this organization. During my internship, I acquired skills needed for SEM that helped me work on various platforms such as Google Ads and Facebook Ads Manager. Due to my exuberance during the internship period, I was hired as a full-time employee. This journey at [COMPANY_NAME] has given me exposure to this industry. I have had the opportunity to deal with some of the high-profile clients in India, providing them with SEM services such as planning and execution on various advertising platforms, which successively helped them grow their business.

My decision to pursue Business Analytics as a major is due to my inclination toward Information Technology and Management subjects. Reading through the pages on the University's website, I find myself certain that pursuing this program is the ideal step for my academic as well as professional career. The diverse, vibrant, and global culture in the United Kingdom is another attractive factor in my choice of study. After researching the courses offered by the Department of Business and Management, Computer & Data Science, and Mathematics at the university, I found modules such as Strategic Analysis and Project Management to be particularly interesting. Pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics program will enable me to develop skills and deepen my expertise.
