STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I have always believed that education itself is the most satisfying pursuit, a value instilled by my father as he loves education and has knowledge in almost every aspect. Along the way I have learnt to focus that value and match it closely to my increasing experience and desire to work on the current, most complicated problems in my field to bring out the best in me and to scale new heights.

I have always been good with numbers and analysis ever since my childhood. I love to play with numbers and have been able to thrive in my school education. I have pursued my academic career with absolute sincerity. By the time I completed high school, I developed an analytic mindset. So, I chose mathematics, physics and chemistry as my major subjects in my intermediate (higher secondary) and completed it with excellent grades. With my interest in Mathematics, I also took tuition classes for a few of the students in my neighbourhood who were in their schooling then.

Those were the days when mobile communication gained popularity around me. Though I didn't know its functionalities, I used it vigorously. I wanted to learn how it worked. This led me to choose Electronics and Communication Engineering as my major in the undergraduate level. I got enrolled into [UNIVERSITY_NAME] to pursue my bachelor's degree in technology.

During my undergraduate studies I was introduced to many essential courses like C, C++, Electronic Circuit Theory, Control Systems, Analog Electronic Circuits, Microprocessors and Interfacing, Data Structures, Computer Architecture and Organization (CAO), Operating Systems, Digital Signal Processing, and Very Large-Scale Integration (VLSI). Among them, C, C++, Data Structures, Computer Architecture and Organization (CAO), and Operating Systems captivated me. My curiosity towards computers and programming increased during this time. My experience with simulation software like MATLAB and VHDL enabled me to further hone my programming skills. The laboratory sessions involved the programming of 8086 microprocessor which used Assembly language, and helped me understand the low-level instruction of a computer.

My interest in computer programming also extended to web technologies. I have learnt technologies like HTML, SQL, and JavaScript. I was selected for the [COMPANY_NAME] University Academic Program training in my college, which brought a significant change in my life. This training introduced me to the software world and created much more interest in the computer stream. Although I am from an electronics and communication background, the one-year [COMPANY_NAME] training captivated me.

During that [COMPANY_NAME] training, I collaborated with some of my fellow trainees to work on a project named Development Proposal Management Application using [COMPANY_NAME] tool. I was assigned two roles: developer and scrum master. As a developer I had to deal with case management and data storage. As a scrum master I needed to plan every sprint and allocate tasks to everyone. Working as a scrum master was a significant experience.

In the final year of my undergraduate studies, I collaborated with three other fellow students for a project titled "IoT Based Smart Farming Stick Using Arduino and Cloud Computing." We used Arduino IDE software and HTML, CSS, and PHP to achieve our objective. My role was to program and to test the sensors' functionality; working on this project increased my technical ability and programming skills. I have also participated in industrial visits conducted by my college at [COMPANY_NAME] Telecom Network (Telecom Infra, Broadband, Switching & Transmission Technologies). At [COMPANY_NAME], we studied the working of intercom lines and their maintenance in the communication department.

Apart from my academics I have actively participated in different extra-curricular activities right from my school days. For the former project, I had to deal with creation of various operators considering certain conditions. For the latter project, I had to deal with integration and REST API service requirements. Whilst working on the projects, I was also introduced to various advancements and trends in technologies. I am very fascinated by the fact of how we can predict the future (Analytics) using the data available from the past and analyze it. I want to gain skills in different techniques in Analytics and produce better outcomes using different technologies. My wish to master such recent advancements has galvanized me to apply for a Master's in Business Analytics.
