The idea of instructing the computer to solve problems using just digits such as 0 and 1 fascinates me to this day. The introduction of hypertext markup language to create the skeleton of a website during the first year of middle school lit a spark in me to learn more about computers, the ways they can be manipulated to perform tasks and stimulate or automate an operation in real-time amused me. I believe that any issue, cerebral or physical, can be minimized with the use of technology and this thought led me to choose computer science engineering as the major for my Bachelor's degree.

With a flare to understand and learn real-time implementation of technology in industries, I attended several workshops and in-plant training including the programs from Indian government-owned companies such as [COMPANY_NAME] where the training comprised of mobile technologies like GSM (Global System for Mobiles) and telecommunication networking and [COMPANY_NAME] who concentrated on data retrieval and maintenance. The in-plant training from [COMPANY_NAME] made me realize my interest in web application development. This experience drove me to develop myself more technically and hence, I completed courses such as Java Programming: Solving Problems with Software and also Programming Foundations with JavaScript, HTML and CSS, with honors, authorized by [UNIVERSITY_NAME] and offered online through [PLATFORM_NAME].

Furthermore, to enrich my knowledge in multiple domains, I had participated in symposiums conducted by several colleges in and around the city and also a hackathon hosted by [COMPANY_NAME]. In one such attempt, I achieved an eminent world record under the theme "World's biggest international hands-on ethical hacking workshop" approved by [ORGANIZATION_NAME] and conducted by [ORGANIZATION_NAME]. To prove my programming skills, I volunteered and developed dynamic applications for my college technical fests and symposiums. With the guidance of our mentor [PROFESSOR_NAME], my friend [PERSON_NAME] and I created a web application that identifies diseases based on symptoms and prescribes appropriate medicine to the user using a disease prediction algorithm based upon machine learning techniques, coded in Python and hosted on [PLATFORM_NAME] as a part of our final year project.

On completion of final semester exams, I started working as a Systems Engineer Trainee at [COMPANY_NAME] which is one of the top IT MNCs based out of India. The company transformed me into a full stack developer by giving hands-on training in Python, SQL and .NET Core MVC. After completing this phase, I started working on a web application development project for [COMPANY_NAME] where we used Angular.js for the front end, MySQL for the database and ASP.NET Core as the framework. Further on, I took up a windows application maintenance project for [COMPANY_NAME] that utilized VB.NET and WCF, which was a platform completely alien to me at that time. Hence, I enhanced my skill-set to meet the requirements and worked diligently leading me to receive appreciation emails from clients for my performance.

Seeing my advancement, I was made to help out newly recruited team members by giving knowledge transfer and guiding them through tasks. In the course of this project, I have gained considerable knowledge on proper ways to interact with clients and also to manage the workload as a team. Currently, I am working on a test automation project for [COMPANY_NAME] using React.js and Cypress which is also something in which I have never worked before but I have been learning and scaling myself up for the past months while also contributing efficiently to the project progress. In the last two and a half years at [COMPANY_NAME], I have not only grown from a systems engineer trainee to a senior systems engineer but also have gained an enormous amount of knowledge in various streams under the Engineering unit.

In spite of the fact that work has helped me grow technically, I understood that I was more inclined towards the concept of using a human-like computer model that could think, learn and solve problems efficiently. My goal is to be part of the Artificial Intelligence revolution by implementing artificial intelligence algorithms in augmented reality platforms to develop innovative software and make a difference in the field. I am intrigued by the efforts and contributions made by companies like [COMPANY_NAME], [COMPANY_NAME] and [COMPANY_NAME] towards this field and would like to work with them in the future as I believe they would not only provide me space to exercise my ideas but also let me grow and perhaps take leadership roles in the future.

With experienced professors, the program provided by this university proves to be the best option to gain cutting edge research-oriented knowledge as well as opportunities in which I would be able to contribute with my abilities. This university has a great infrastructure and thriving intellectual community but most importantly I believe that the curriculum taught at this university will help hone my skills and I am confident that I will meet the University's expectations.
