Statement of Purpose

I have been an enthusiastic and inquisitive kid since childhood. My fondness for public speaking led me to become a member of the student council in high school. During high school, the constant knowledge of knowing computer applications made me inclined towards computer sciences as it is a field that involves a lot of creativity and innovation and I wanted to have varied career choices in this era of technology. Coming from a family of civil engineers, my father supported my decision to become the only computer engineer in the family.

Soon after completing high school, I appeared in the national entrance examination for undergraduate study in India and got selected in [UNIVERSITY_NAME], where I opted for a Bachelor of Technology (Computer Science & Engineering) as the major field of study. During my undergraduate tenure, I was actively involved in managing and organizing events, workshops on women empowerment, data analytics, and cloud computing for the University to build confidence and perseverance alongside excelling in academic subjects. I worked on a research publication which was "Predicting breast cancer using 10-fold cross-validation" under the guidance of my professor, presented the final paper at an international conference, and got selected for an internship at the [ORGANIZATION_NAME] affiliated with the Government of India where I created a leave management system for the employees which gave me a lot of exposure and I had the privilege to interact with high profiled government professionals. Initially, I lacked the skills of this role as it is for senior professionals and requires a sense of business knowledge and handling core responsibilities but under the guidance of my supervisor and the vice president of digital transformations, I developed my inclination to understand the problem statements and the need to provide solutions by preparing strategies to enhance and optimize the current process.

For instance, talking about my first international project "[PROJECT_NAME]" with no prior knowledge of it, I researched about their business to gain some insights. Eventually, I started talking with the stakeholders, and all my research gave me confidence by understanding their business needs and expectations. After one year, I was authorized as the core BA for the engagement and won the annual award. I composed myself, heard them, and consolidated a list of areas of improvement due to which I was promoted twice during my professional journey and went from being a trainee to an associate business analyst to now a business analyst.

I wish to relish my newfound aspiration to strengthen my problem-solving skills, strategy development, and critical thinking at a global level and become a prospect management/business consultant by capturing business insights worldwide while getting a versatile study experience and developing a complete set of managerial skills through the master's program. A focus on international practice will give me a detailed insight into the issues faced across global economies in today's business world by covering relevant theories and applications to put my learnings into practice throughout the course. I am excited to explore subjects like International Business Strategy, Global Strategic Management, Global Corporate strategy in detail to appreciate today's global economy and culture. I will improve essential managerial skills, including leadership, strategic thinking, communication, delegation, and presentation. Will be ecstatic to be a part of the cross-cultural environment, and will work and negotiate with teams from varied diversities and ethnic heritages. The program will enable me to provide solutions for optimizing the process in my career assignments.
