Statement of Purpose
In day-to-day business operations, everyone encounters a wide range of people with varying personalities. It is pertinent and required of successful business managers to find the balance between utilizing the strengths and weaknesses of every person. During my period in graduation, I have garnered the experience of developing and utilizing the various personality traits in each person to reach a collective goal. I really believe that a successful leader and manager is he/she who can effectively and efficiently utilize the maximum skill to bring maximum productivity. I have learned some of these management lessons through my graduation journey by doing research and presentations, and work experience by working in different companies. However, the bigger learning has been the need for full-time management qualification to prepare myself for assuming bigger responsibility—that of a public relation manager having an infrastructure project management consulting firm. Therefore, I have selected the PR & Advertising program at your prestigious university.
Shedding light on my trajectory until now, I completed undergraduate studies in Mass Communication with a specialization of PR & Advertising for a year. While graduating, I joined [ORGANIZATION_1] as a State HR but later was promoted to National State HR. Here, I was responsible to hire people based on their skills and compassion to do their work effectively, organize events, and promote the company's work. Additionally, I executed the city and tourism development plan, the city sanitation plan, and the tourism development plan for [CITY_1] and surrounding areas. I even conducted workshops on smart cities and promoted the city as it is a small town and unaware of many things. I taught children about the country's development and how everything is progressing, gave knowledge about career aspects, and how they need to be determined to build their career.
From [ORGANIZATION_1], I moved to [COMPANY_1] as a Telecaller for 6 months. Here, I worked for the [COMPANY_2] process as a Customer Care Executive. I learned how to manage people's problems by being patient and helping them to solve their problems. Furthermore, I served as a representative for [ORGANIZATION_2] for 2 months and guided many urban students to choose their path and led 2-3 groups to do the same. Again, I joined [COMPANY_3] for the same [COMPANY_2] process for 2 months because after that my college was reopening.
Currently, I am pursuing my three-year graduation in Bachelor's in Media & Mass Communication with last year of specialization in PR & Advertising. As I gained knowledge about public relations and the work they do to maintain company reputation in the market by being a bridge between the client and the company, I realized the importance of this field. Advertising also gives more opportunity to be creative and explore more within a budget. The creation of advertisements with budget allocation and proper guidance of a public relation manager will help the company to fulfill the client demand and get more projects to work on, which will lead the company to gain more name and fame in the market.
Evidently, I have successfully executed some prestigious and useful projects. These endeavors have brought out my soft skills and capabilities to the forefront. However, the business world is more complex than I thought. With time, I have realized that I need graduate school guidance to move to a higher level in my career and float my own infrastructure project consulting venture. I know the technicalities of giving guidance and insights on infrastructure works but need the acumen to manage an enterprise successfully. Hence, I have opted for a PR & Advertising course at the university.
The Master's program will make me well-versed with various business functions like finance, marketing, human resources, supply chain, and information technology, and teach me their role and importance in running business operations. Moreover, through this course, I will have access to individuals who will serve as mentors on my professional journey, increase my knowledge, and expand my connections on a global scale. The course has a customizable curriculum that allows students flexible learning modes and a plethora of diverse courses to fit into students' future plans. This diverse educational resource is what drew me towards the program. The school group projects will help my creative side and increase my teamwork abilities which have been obviously missing in my set of abilities. I also hope to give back to the graduate school community through my contagious desire for productivity and effectiveness, which saw me being awarded the best student in my department for dissertation during graduation. I believe that my colleagues and professors will also tap from my well of experience and creativity from my group projects and contributions.
After completing my Master's studies at your prestigious institute, I am confident that I would have accumulated valuable public relations management skills and global market knowledge. I really believe and expect that your program will be a key element and stepping stone to my career goals and aspirations. I wish to deploy my managerial learning initially as a working professional and then as a businessperson.
