I have been an academically oriented student throughout my school and college life. While numbers and the ability of mathematics to provide a formal representation for various natural phenomena always interested me, my fascination towards computers was triggered when in high school I was felicitated with scholarship and a laptop being the district topper, till then computers were like a mystery box to me. The ability of a few lines of code to solve complex tasks intrigued me and this motivated me to explore how code written in a high-level language is translated to a form which is understood by a machine. This keen interest in understanding complex computational abilities of computers along with having business acumen and my pursuit of excellence motivated me to pursue Master's course in Management Information System at University at Buffalo.

Pursuing my interests in Information System, I chose Computer Science and Engineering for my undergraduate course at [UNIVERSITY NAME], [CITY]. Undertaking varied courses encompassing the necessary basics of the field helped me build a comprehensive foundation of programming, front end and back end, database, software engineering to develop software products using well-defined scientific principles. The ability to select and design efficient data structures and algorithms and validate them using mathematical techniques proved to be a valuable asset later in both academics and industry. Inspired by this, I took the course topics like Data Structures, Algorithm Design and Analysis and Database Management Systems that helped me broadened my knowledge over the applicability of technology to resolve complex real-time problems. My keen interest and passion towards the courses and computer engineering as a whole reflected in my grades and ranking where I stood an overall third in a batch of more than 120 students and getting the Chancellor's scholarship twice.

My excellent academic performance in college helped me to get selected among the six students to get internship in [COMPANY NAME], [CITY]. I worked on [PRODUCT NAME] product which is designed to help banks respond strategically to business challenges, while transforming their business models and processes to reduce operating costs leveraging [COMPANY] experience across its core banking operations. While this helped to add more value to the product it helped me gaining proficiency in RESTful Web Services, JAX-RS, Java Persistence API for object relational mapping to advanced concepts like software design patterns and architectural patterns. Further, in the project I used PL/SQL for data migration from earlier product to [PRODUCT NAME] which helped me understanding enormous potential of harnessing data and the profound impact on business.

After completing the internship from [COMPANY NAME] I was intrigued with cloud market which stimulated me to join internship in [COMPANY NAME] as an AWS developer which helped me gained proficiency in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications using AWS and having practical experience with live working on Terraform with EC2, S3, ELB, Docker and more. This Industrial experience in building a large software system helped me appreciate the need for tools which help in building a reliable system.

Motivated by my internships I joined [COMPANY NAME] in July 2019 as a Software Developer where I joined [TEAM NAME] team. At [TEAM NAME] I got wonderful opportunity to work on their product [PRODUCT NAME] which automates IT Operations using Artificial Intelligence providing enhanced business outcomes, resilience and agility. In the team I was responsible for automating orchestration to build intelligent workflows using groovy which improved the transparency of complex Enterprise. I also implemented text mining using NLP to make the system more efficient and adaptive to user input data. While giving a proper shape to unformatted application data and gathering insights to get productive result. Now I love to play with data and unfold the mystery around it. I found it really exciting that this field can be applied to extract utility information from data. This overall experience, eventually, helped me to consolidate my urge to pursue research in the domain of data science that would allow me to come up with approaches which would facilitate in overall technological advancement in this rapidly growing field.
