STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

My academic exposure and extensive career experience have helped me gauge and recognise my strengths. In the process, I have realised that business analytics is critical to the success of any business, and going forward, I visualise myself in a position among the best professionals in the field of business analytics. To achieve this, in a highly competitive global marketplace, I require a Master's degree that sets me apart from other job aspirants. Hence, I desire to pursue a Master of Business Analytics program to expand and acquire the knowledge of new technologies and methods related to the areas of professional specialisation.

Dismantling an electrical appliance into its basic components and trying to understand its working has always fascinated me. This interest influenced me to select Electrical & Electronics Engineering for my undergraduate studies at [UNIVERSITY], [CITY]. The most important among my academic projects are the 'Light Control Using Light Dependent Resistor' and 'Ageing of Polymeric Insulator Using Rotating Wheel/DIP Method'. I participated in a technical seminar 'Development of UHVAC System in India' which focused on the ultra-high voltage alternating current transmission lines across India and the challenges faced in maintaining them and ongoing projects. I enjoyed working on these projects since they were an extension of my classroom learning as well as my technical interest in dabbling with electrical equipment.

So far as a subject matter expert, I have played a vital role of continuously ensuring business integrity and continuity, organising system infrastructure documentation, operating procedures, strengthening controls and enhancing overall performance of the organisation and been appreciated for it. To achieve my career objectives, I have undertaken multiple training and online courses at organisation level and also completed training in "JAVA & Testing".

However, now, I aspire to progress in my career as an engineering professional by switching from the current role of a Test Engineer to Business Analyst, and the following is my justification. Just as a business analyst (BA) is responsible for all requirement analyses in a company, in many good organisations, a quality assurance (QA) specialist takes care of the requirement analysis to some extent. By applying extra effort in requirement analysis and understanding business domain, I believe a QA specialist is always the best candidate for undertaking the role of BA. This is how I developed an interest to study Business Analysis and equip myself with the knowledge and skills pertaining to the subject.

This stage in my career and life will be the deciding factor of my career path. After a careful and detailed evaluation of my goals, academic background, experiences, and resources, I have chosen to pursue a Master's program in Ireland. Ireland is home to the best schools in the world, and most importantly, a graduate degree from Ireland would open a plethora of incredible opportunities in India and facilitate in achieving my goals much faster. Additionally, the credentials I earn through education in Ireland are validated worldwide. Furthermore, being educated in an international environment, where I am exposed to the best minds from all over the world and gaining world-class education alongside multi-ethnic and culture-rich students, is definitely going to benefit me.

Careful research through websites, forums, and social media pages of several universities, followed by detailed consultation with my mentor and faculty of my institute, made it evident that pursuing MSc in Business Analytics would be the best choice. I found the curriculum to be comprehensive, with plenty of research options and practical exposure. I also feel confident that being educated under the guidance of your stellar faculty would instil me with the requisite knowledge I need to achieve my goal. I am aware that a lot of hard work, determination, and resources are required to achieve both my short-term and long-term goals. I am prepared and more than ready to take on the challenges and handle the rigors of a Master's program. I am approachable, upbeat, friendly, energetic, confident, light-hearted, and positive. I can quickly adapt to a multitude of situations and like to take on challenges.
